Marcarl Posted September 1, 2016 #1 Posted September 1, 2016 Marca and I are planning to do some riding on Monday, ending up somewhere for supper. Not just sure yet as to where, so that is up in the air, not sure if there are some who care, but I thought it would be nice to share. Leaving home about 10 in the morning. You can ride along or join us for the eating Just let me know who we might be meeting. It's then I can do some planning So all can be served in the ending.
XV1100SE Posted September 1, 2016 #2 Posted September 1, 2016 Will keep this in mind for Monday. We are interested....but will be more definite once a direction is decided.
Marcarl Posted September 1, 2016 Author #3 Posted September 1, 2016 That's what this is about,,, yes sir!!! who wants in on the game, then we'll see how we plan it.
bongobobny Posted September 1, 2016 #4 Posted September 1, 2016 I'll be at a Patriot Guard Riders picnic...
Midicat Posted September 2, 2016 #5 Posted September 2, 2016 Sally and I will be there by 9:30am. We will be happy to follow like lost sheep. LOL Might be the last ride on the scoot. It's listed on Kijiji. Thomas
Marcarl Posted September 2, 2016 Author #6 Posted September 2, 2016 OK so here's the plan. No GPS, so we can get as lost as we want to. Leave home about 10am, head south, then east along the waterside, leave that when ever, spend some time fooling around in Effingham and district and then end up at the Lazy Loon for supper, hopefully early enough to enjoy the ride back home along the river. No idea how long this is going to take. As you can see, the table is set. http://lazyloon.on.ca/images/photo7.jpghttp://lazyloon.on.ca/images/photo5.jpghttp://lazyloon.on.ca/images/photo8.jpghttp://lazyloon.on.ca/images/photo12.jpg
Midicat Posted September 3, 2016 #7 Posted September 3, 2016 Hey, The Lazy Loon? Sounds great! We've heard so much about it but never thought of it when we had the time to go. Really looking forward to this now. Thomas
ragtop69gs Posted September 3, 2016 #8 Posted September 3, 2016 I'd like to join you but really don't want to die in a Canadian jail! Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
GFRicky Posted September 3, 2016 #9 Posted September 3, 2016 It won't work for me. I have too much to do on Monday (and Saturday and Sunday....lol) Monday we're canning tomatoes sauce and it can't wait until next weekend. Have a great time guy !!!!
XV1100SE Posted September 3, 2016 #10 Posted September 3, 2016 We'll have to pass on the ride as well. The event is likely to take several hours and it wouldn't be good to leave our pup crated so long. Now if the dinner were closer to Kitchener....we'd meet you there. But an all day event... can't do it.
saddlebum Posted September 4, 2016 #11 Posted September 4, 2016 Just saw the thread now. Gotta do some pondering on this but I just may be up for it. Will know better once I have conversed with upper management.
Marcarl Posted September 5, 2016 Author #12 Posted September 5, 2016 Saddlebum is busy, Midicat's 85 has charging issues, so we are on our own, headed for Jordan Ont to watch 4 of our kids play ball.
dogman Posted September 5, 2016 #13 Posted September 5, 2016 Carl, we also have a few things to do and can't spare that much time away for a lengthy ride. If you are close feel free to drop in or text/call to see when we will be in or out
Marcarl Posted September 6, 2016 Author #14 Posted September 6, 2016 Well we left a little early yesterday, about 9am. Ended up in Jordan about 10:30 and watched as our 2 boys and 2 of our girls helped the best team to get to first place. It was hot in the sun but very nice in the shade. They did well and Bethany Church was happy to have them on board. Marca and I then ended up at the Lazy Loon and the food was every bit as good as advertised. Didn't see much of the river on the way home though, somebody had turned off the big light a little early, must be trying to save hydro.
saddlebum Posted September 7, 2016 #15 Posted September 7, 2016 Like me, my Daughter in Law loves old planes and loves motorcycles. Well the B17 was at the Hamilton air museum and since my Son and His 2 boys were off camping. She called me up to tell me she was going to see the B17 and would I like to come. I agreed and countered with a suggestion to Take the bike, which made her even more excited. So dropping everything, I picked her up and we had a very pleasant scenic ride stopping for several hours at the air museum and ending the day with My Son and their 2 boys meeting us at my place were my wife made us all a great dinner.
stickhandle2 Posted September 10, 2016 #16 Posted September 10, 2016 Darn, just saw this today ,kind of a week too late, and you were ending up in our backyard sort of now that we are down here in Welland. Oh well hope everyone had a good time. Eventually we will catch up. Take care everyone. Mike
