Parallel twin would be buzzy, I presume. My first bike was a CB350 Honda. Great little bike to start with but it turned up something like 6500 rpm at 60 and my hands would feel like they were asleep after an hour or so.

Do you really need another project to sit in the corner of the garage taking up space so that you can work on it someday.

It would be a easy clean up and move on.:backinmyday: Or a replacement for the Ventures??

Ouch....

I know how the game works, I have a lot of projects that I am likely to not live long enough to finish.

But on the other hand, if it makes you happy, and your noggin can withstand the frying pan, then go for it.

Dang Dan, if you really need something to work on I got two chainsaws down here I can't keep running. I hate chainsaws. They remind me of my exwifes.

Hard to get started, loud and noisy when they are and very dangerous to operate.

Present company excepted. You would have to have known MY ex's. Chainsaws are very good analogies of my ex wife's.

When you least expect it they can kick back on you and tear you to shreds and leave you mangled and bloody.

High maintenance.

Looks good when new but do not hold up well with regular use.

Requires complicated fuel mixing and will not run on regular unleaded.

I just got a complete set of carb tool for Chain Saws, Weedeaters, Pressure Washers. All those things with the screw heads you can't turn without special tools. The Warden's weedeater now sounds like a Jet Plane.

I would just like to know where he got the tools I gave up on gas weed eaters and chainsaws because every spring I needed them adjusted and sorry just don't feel I should have to pay someone 160 to do something I can do myself so now I have 18 volt of weed eater and chainsaw power

Found them on line somewhere. Got 6 different nut drivers for different models. Fits everything I got so far. Appex?? Not sure I'll try to find paperwork. About 20 bucks but well worth it. If you can get one of those things to run at all adjusting them is easy. Just play around til it runs right!!

I used the other method to adjust my needles on small gas engines.

I used a thin cut off disc on my Dremel and cut a screwdriver slot across the top of the needle so I could adjust to my hearts content. Every engine I ever bought new was set to lean right out of the box. On a 2 stroke that is a guaranteed early death.

Yes on every one that I have done the top of the needle was recessed into a counter bore to make it inaccessible without the special tool. I just slotted right through the sidewalls of the counter bore. I can fully understand why they do this. The vast majority of people that have no clue how to tune an engine will set it to lean and burn up the engine and expect it to be warrantied.

I may have to look for that set of tool and save the grinding.

The correct needle settings on these engines is constantly changing as the engine brakes in. It takes a good 2 gallons to fully break in one of these little 2 strokes before you will see maximum power available.

This information may have been helpful when I was still married but I'm not quite sure how I should have applied the tools to my ex's.

Now it is just plain not nice to set me up like that on a PG website.................:moon: :whistling:

That's about it but I got a nice case with mine. Case is nice or they would be scattered all over the place and you could find one but not the right one!!!:backinmyday::backinmyday:

And there is room in the case to add a couple if I come across others.
