Cruise Control quit working

I have been off the bike for 4 months healing from 2 surgeries. Rode my 07 Venture Wednesday and when I turn on the button for the cruise on the fairing the bottom light flashes once and then all 3 lights flash continuously. Any ideas, hate taking it to stealership.
