Pok in the Pines, LaPorte MN, Labor Day weekend

Well folks it is only a little over two weeks away from The Pork in the Pines.

We have lots to do yet.

As usual we have a good crew helping out, Red, Velma, Gary and Ann, Holly, EagleEye, Rick and Marylin, Others.

Looks like we have a good start to making this one a really good time.

 

Unfortunately Black Owl is laid up with a broken hip and will be there in spirit only. This is our chance to roast the old bugger good.

Rest up Black Owl and concentrate on getting healthy, we need some adult supervision at these events.

 

All that are planning on attending, drive careful and be paired to have some fun.

 

We only have a short time to get a lot of things done:

food list to create

food to buy

camper to pack

meal planning

cleaning out Gary's garage

all the food prep once we get there

and a million other items.

Good thing we have a good crew of volunteers. This wouldn't happen without them.

So come, have a good time, leave your troubles at home, meet new/old friends, eat, be happy, tell jokes, laugh.

Get naked (well maybe not). Have an adult beverage or possibly two.

Guitar music and a sign along by our resident music guys.

Listen to Laura, Marylin and Elizabeth around the camp fire cracking wise.

If that don't make you laugh and giggle, then I guess I can't help you at all.

What's a "POK??"

 

A "POK" is the sound a BB makes after it's tossed out of my 760 Crosman with 10 Pumps and is going thru the side of the canvas tent that my Dad just put up for the two of us to stay in while up north hunting Deer when I was a kid:big-grin-emoticon:.. By the way,, if the BB's are "Pokking" they are not being damaged and can be reused - if they are "Pinging" as in hitting a hubcap on my dad's truck, they are no longer usable..

One of these days Tweeksis, Tip and I are hoping to make it up there and see if we can find a Pig in a Pine Tree Bubber - hope you lop eared varmints have a blast up there!!!
