MiCarl Posted August 16, 2016 Share #26 Posted August 16, 2016 Another thing I thought of yesterday: Your carburetors have air cut off valves. Their purpose is to make the idle mixture rich when coasting to reduce backfire. While rare, if the diaphragms are bad they will make things lean too. The air cut off valves are under mostly circular covers on the side of the carburetor. You need to completely disassemble the rack to get to all of them. cimmer Posted August 17, 2016 Share #27 Posted August 17, 2016 Another place to get carb parts and others for the Venture is at Sirius Consolidated Inc out of Canada. Here is a link for the Venture items they sell. http://www.siriusconinc.com/search_result.php?make=2&model=Venture%20Royale&part=All&partno=&x=56&y=16&search=search&start=25 They also have the diaphragms (SD-1) which if you mention that you are a Venturerider.org member they will discount for you. On the jet, you might need to look in the parts manual to see what is the stock jet, http://www.partshark.com/oemparts/a/yam/50042b41f8700209bc78980a/carburetor and see which jet it is and what the size is suppose to be. Hope that helps Rick F.
