sleadhed Posted April 16, 2008 #1 Posted April 16, 2008 I'm going to install the deflectors on my 07 RSV but am not sure which one's I need the pro's and con's of both please.
BuddyRich Posted April 16, 2008 #2 Posted April 16, 2008 I have the Star lower wind deflectors and like them. My plastic seems to be cracking but that maybe from grabbing them by the tip and turning them out or in and them being a little to tight
Tartan Terror Posted April 16, 2008 #3 Posted April 16, 2008 Are you talking about the deflectors on front of the forks or the ones that you can install on the crash bars to direct air in on you or block it?
sleadhed Posted April 16, 2008 Author #4 Posted April 16, 2008 Are you talking about the deflectors on front of the forks or the ones that you can install on the crash bars to direct air in on you or block it? The crash bar mounted deflectors.
sleadhed Posted April 17, 2008 Author #6 Posted April 17, 2008 Go with the Yamaha ones. What makes the yammies better than barrons?
AmnChode Posted April 17, 2008 #7 Posted April 17, 2008 When did Baron make deflectors?...and how much/where?
Tartan Terror Posted April 17, 2008 #8 Posted April 17, 2008 Well I cant tell you that but I do own the Yamaha ones and I like them. Never had a problem and they fit nice. for opinions on the other you will need to see if someone has tried them but I am very happy with the ones I have.
AmnChode Posted April 17, 2008 #9 Posted April 17, 2008 Yeah...I have heard nothing but good things about the yama ones....Just haven't been able to bring myself to fork over the money...BUT, if there was another set that were just as good and cheaper, I might cut loose with it...
Guest BluesLover Posted April 17, 2008 #10 Posted April 17, 2008 I have the Yamaha ones and really like them. Last summer, while riding in very hot weather they were a god-send for my legs as they provide ventilation to that area of the body (by opening the airflow). This spring, while riding in nearly freezing temps and on wet roads, I noticed that by having them closed I was able to keep less of the cold air on my legs and it also helps to keep some of the wet off the lower legs. I am not sure about the Barron's but I believe they mount higher up on the bike, and typically providing more (or less) air flow to that part of my body isn't an issue, Cheers,
sleadhed Posted April 17, 2008 Author #11 Posted April 17, 2008 I was calling them Barrons but I ment to say Baker. I guess it's that CRS creeping up on me.

I had a hard time with the price too, but gave in and got them. I don't regret it at all. They are very nice, totally functional, and look good too.
AmnChode Posted April 17, 2008 #13 Posted April 17, 2008 Oh I'm sure I wouldn't regret them either....My butt just not unpuckering yet....got too many other things I want/need to get prior...like a new set of tires
