Doug royal86 Posted August 6, 2016 #1 Posted August 6, 2016 I have alot of lights on my bike, boy they look good in the dark. I had to take the rear tire off to change tires. Wow all that pretty stuff is a real pain to remove . The person who put all that on forgot you need to take it off in the future. I see a rewire job with a plug to make it easy next time. I ended up getting a 80 instead of a 90. Did not feel like waiting for a tire in the mail. The motorcycle shop close to me was way to high and I would rather not do business with them.
Flyinfool Posted August 6, 2016 #3 Posted August 6, 2016 This to many lights thing does not compute, I can not conceive of this malady. Yes removable parts should have connectors
djh3 Posted August 6, 2016 #4 Posted August 6, 2016 A fellow over on the Delphi boards has something going on he needs to remove the left saddle bag. So it has an MP3 player thing or something wired up via the CD cable. Well only way to get bag off it cut wire harness. The end that use to go to CD player has a big square plug now.
Karaboo Posted August 7, 2016 #5 Posted August 7, 2016 If you pull the front wheel and strap the center stand to the front engine guard you can lower the front onto the forks and get the rear off without removing the rear lights. I tried this on my second tire change and it made things a lot easier.
