Freebird Posted July 31, 2016 #1 Posted July 31, 2016 OK....this is pretty cool. I know it's not a motorcycle but I tell you....this is pretty cool. http://www.foxnews.com/leisure/2016/07/28/polaris-pops-t-top-on-slingshot-three-wheeler/
campfire12 Posted July 31, 2016 #2 Posted July 31, 2016 I see the slingshot in your future Don. It might be just what you and Eline are looking for.
garyw Posted July 31, 2016 #3 Posted July 31, 2016 After seeing @Carbon_One with his in St Charles last year I pulled the trigger on one this March! The wife has never been happier and so far after almost 5000 miles I have no regrets either. Sure, I still think about the RSV at times but that goes away as soon as I get behind the wheel and pull away, it truly is a blast to drive that keeps getting better!
Carbon_One Posted July 31, 2016 #4 Posted July 31, 2016 Yea from pics it looks good. BUT that "T" Top cool will step you back 3k according to their website. Ouch that'll pinch the wallet. Hey Gary glad to hear your enjoying your slingshot. Looking forward to seeing you guys with it sometime. Larry
bongobobny Posted July 31, 2016 #5 Posted July 31, 2016 Ummmm, yeah, waaay cool but if and when Becky and I ever go to a side by side it will probably be a nice used Pontiac Solstice or Saturn Sky... Kind of like the idea of a real top and side windows that roll up to keep the rain out!
WildBill1 Posted August 1, 2016 #6 Posted August 1, 2016 I wish they would spend some money on the rear-end, just a wheel suspended out there in black out space. At least the Morgan rear-end is part of the body and the wheel is enclosed.
Rick Butler Posted August 1, 2016 #7 Posted August 1, 2016 Well Bill, Corbin already has done what you asked and made a nice set of bags that look like they were produced by Polaris: http://corbin.com/slingshot/pssbag.shtml I have a couple of friends who bought the Slingshot when they sorted out that they could be licensed in Texas as a motorcycle and these bags were their last upgrade and they really look nice and complete the look of the rear real nicely. Rick
Condor Posted August 1, 2016 #8 Posted August 1, 2016 I can see it now.... First the T-Top, then power assist roll up windows, A/C, High end audio package, Heated seats...etc.. Price?? $45K plus tax and registration. :whistling:
djh3 Posted August 2, 2016 #9 Posted August 2, 2016 $3300+ for bags And you thought the T tops were pricey. Need a hitch and trailer. LOL
WildBill1 Posted August 2, 2016 #10 Posted August 2, 2016 Rick, that is quite an improvement on the rear-end. For the money I probably would spring for a retro T bird with a hard convertible top with heat and a/c.
