She's Finally Doing it!

Nina is retiring!

Well, not entirely but....

She's been working for the past 8 years as receptionist / office coordinator for a company that leases out office spaces to various businesses. Lawyers, Mining companies, Doctors, you name it plus they have virtual clients. It's an extremely busy place and she controls the front desk and phones, billing, couriers, printing, faxing, meeting rooms, caterers,... the list goes on and on. It's a highly stressful job that requires someone who can be at the top of their game every minute and not miss a beat.

After 2 days back to work from holidays she realized that it's just way more than she wants to deal with any more. We talked it over and agreed that it's time for her to move on.

That was Tuesday.

We got home and one of the Virtual Assistants that Nina deals with who does work for one of the businesses there had left an email to her home addy. Nina had been toying with the idea of somehow working part time from home for over a year. Turns out this "VA" happens to own her Virtual Assistant company and has been scoping Nina out for some time and trying to figure a way to get her to join as a VA on contract. What fantastic timing! On top of that, Nina has already made connections with another small company to do work for them from home.

It's so amazing how such things can just fall into one's lap at the most opportune time.

Not only has her wish to work from home part time now become a reality, we'll save appx $500 a month on vehicle parking, transit fare, and doggy daycare!

You can almost see the waves of stress and relief falling off her shoulders!

I have a friend his wife is an account and she does most of her work online and has an office at her house. The travel all over the US, she take her phone and computer with and if they call and she needs to be on line, they stop and she hooks up, she has a hot-spot. Technology is great sometimes

This notice sent out to all clients in Nina's work from her boss pretty much sums up how valuable she has been to the company ... (I am so proud of her and so happy for her!) ... (can you tell? lol)

Hello everyone

Nina Yerex, our wonderful Receptionist/Front Office Coordinator, has decided the time has arrived, and retirement beckons.

We’ve been so very fortunate to have had Nina here at Guinness since 2009. During those years she raised the bar for how to do this vital job with grace, skill, and integrity.

Our search begins for an outstanding candidate. Since you all appreciate the maturity, personality and excellence in service that Nina brings to the job, a “Nina-clone” would be perfect! But not easily found. Do you, or anyone in your network, know of a really special person who could fit the bill for this career opportunity? Please contact me.

Happily, Nina will be available on a back-up basis for reception coverage after she leaves. It’s comforting to have all that experience and knowledge there for us if needed. Nina’s last official day is Thursday, Sept 1st. We know you will join us in wishing her only the best as she approaches this new and exciting, and so well deserved, phase of her life.

Kind regards

Alison
