SilvrT Posted July 22, 2016 #1 Posted July 22, 2016 Nina is retiring! Well, not entirely but.... She's been working for the past 8 years as receptionist / office coordinator for a company that leases out office spaces to various businesses. Lawyers, Mining companies, Doctors, you name it plus they have virtual clients. It's an extremely busy place and she controls the front desk and phones, billing, couriers, printing, faxing, meeting rooms, caterers,... the list goes on and on. It's a highly stressful job that requires someone who can be at the top of their game every minute and not miss a beat. After 2 days back to work from holidays she realized that it's just way more than she wants to deal with any more. We talked it over and agreed that it's time for her to move on. That was Tuesday. We got home and one of the Virtual Assistants that Nina deals with who does work for one of the businesses there had left an email to her home addy. Nina had been toying with the idea of somehow working part time from home for over a year. Turns out this "VA" happens to own her Virtual Assistant company and has been scoping Nina out for some time and trying to figure a way to get her to join as a VA on contract. What fantastic timing! On top of that, Nina has already made connections with another small company to do work for them from home. It's so amazing how such things can just fall into one's lap at the most opportune time. Not only has her wish to work from home part time now become a reality, we'll save appx $500 a month on vehicle parking, transit fare, and doggy daycare! You can almost see the waves of stress and relief falling off her shoulders!
slowrollwv Posted July 22, 2016 #2 Posted July 22, 2016 That is some great news. Now she can relax and take it easy for awhile.
dogman Posted July 22, 2016 #3 Posted July 22, 2016 Great news. Congratulations. She must be very excited to know that others saw how hard a how much of a good and dependable worker she is. I wish her and yourself enjoyment in this new endeavour
Larry1963 Posted July 22, 2016 #4 Posted July 22, 2016 I have a friend his wife is an account and she does most of her work online and has an office at her house. The travel all over the US, she take her phone and computer with and if they call and she needs to be on line, they stop and she hooks up, she has a hot-spot. Technology is great sometimes
Dale124 Posted July 22, 2016 #5 Posted July 22, 2016 That's awesome, Rick. Tell Nina congrats from us. Dale.

SilvrT Posted July 22, 2016 Author #7 Posted July 22, 2016 That is some great news. Now she can relax and take it easy for awhile. Yup, she will but I'm afraid her being at home more will result in me having more "honey doos" LOL!
SilvrT Posted July 22, 2016 Author #8 Posted July 22, 2016 This notice sent out to all clients in Nina's work from her boss pretty much sums up how valuable she has been to the company ... (I am so proud of her and so happy for her!) ... (can you tell? lol) ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Hello everyone Nina Yerex, our wonderful Receptionist/Front Office Coordinator, has decided the time has arrived, and retirement beckons. Sailor Posted July 24, 2016 #10 Posted July 24, 2016 There is more to life than work. Congrats! I found the only problem with retiring is that I am now twice as busy as when I was working.
