But I thought in my stressed mind a form of a magnet to pick up plastic which would help my situation being that the nozzle that fell into the tank was plastic. There you go I was only thinking of myself. I apologize.
dogman Posted July 23, 2016 Author #28 Posted July 23, 2016 Thank you everyone for the quick replies and suggestions. I didn't get it out. I went to our local Marine shop and they used a older type snake camera and grabbing tools, but no luck. I shook it for a few more hours and gave up and put it back on the bike and filled it up with gas. We leave at 5am tomorrow Saturday. I did order one of the iPhone endoscopy camera's off eBay. Hopefully it will be here when we are back in 3 weeks and I will try again.
djh3 Posted July 23, 2016 #29 Posted July 23, 2016 Worse case it hangs the float up and gauge dont work right. But you can figure pretty quick how long a tank of fuel will run you.

chabicheka Posted July 23, 2016 #32 Posted July 23, 2016 Shouldn't be that difficult.....we all know how many miles we get per thankful. Just reset the trip meter when we fill up, and keep an eye on the trip meter mileage.
djh3 Posted July 23, 2016 #33 Posted July 23, 2016 Ride till it stumbles, flip to Res and look for fuel.
MikeWa Posted July 23, 2016 #34 Posted July 23, 2016 Strike a match and throw it in the tank. The resulting explosion should blow that sucker right out of there. Mike
