1BigDog Posted October 21, 2022 #1301 Posted October 21, 2022 Replaced the fuel pump points and rerouted the gas filter under the seat. 54k and still had the original filter. Cleaned and added dialectic grease to whatever electrical connections I came across. Changed the oil. Flushed out the overflow tank. Just waiting on the carbs and valve cover gaskets to come Monday. 3
RDawson Posted October 22, 2022 #1302 Posted October 22, 2022 (edited) Put it on the jack🤬🤬🤬. Got the school marm on the back and set out for a long ride, made it 3 miles. Bike quit like it was out of fuel, toggled the kill switch and it fired back up. Got it home and pulled the side cover, points are fried. Looked back and found I replaced them in 2018, new ones ordered again. Been in the low 30’s all week, 80* today and we’re grounded. Edited October 22, 2022 by RDawson 2 1

RDawson Posted October 29, 2022 #1304 Posted October 29, 2022 Points finally arrived today, a couple hours after I finished the new trailer. Got the fuel pump fixed, hooked up the trailer and went on a test ride. My first vinyl wrap results. 5
ChiefGunner Posted November 8, 2022 #1305 Posted November 8, 2022 Well, since the accident I’ve been unable to work. After over 2 weeks I’m still having to sleep upright in my easy chair. Anyways, with all this time just sitting I’ve finally got around to polishing all those “brushed” looking pieces on the bike. So far it’s coming out pretty good IMHO. 4

RDawson Posted November 9, 2022 #1307 Posted November 9, 2022 Yesterday not today, wife said let’s go to lunch on the bike. 3 hours later we pulled in at Loveless Cafe In Nashville. Got in a little rain on the way home. 2
ChiefGunner Posted November 9, 2022 #1308 Posted November 9, 2022 Well, one side is done. IMHO it makes a huge difference in the overall look of the bike. And YES, I’m going to do the floorboards as well. Just need to finish the left side air cover and I’ll tackle that. 5
RDawson Posted November 12, 2022 #1309 Posted November 12, 2022 Been adding miles this week, temps in the high 60’s to mid 70’s. In the 60s today riding in a tee shirt, first snow forecast tonight. Gotta love KY weather.
ChiefGunner Posted November 22, 2022 #1310 Posted November 22, 2022 Well aside from polishing, I have this bike so customized this next item just seemed “needed”. The badges arrived today. 4
ChiefGunner Posted November 26, 2022 #1311 Posted November 26, 2022 Wife and I went out riding with another couple we met on this forum @Ken Dand they also have a red 2018 SVTC! His is stock with very few mods at all, but am already helping him with that. Drilled out his pipes the other day and he loves the sound! Today we rode just over 200 miles which officially put me over the 75k mile mark. Now it’s time to inspect/adjust the valve clearance.
1BigDog Posted November 27, 2022 #1312 Posted November 27, 2022 I did nothing….. absolutely nothing for the first time in weeks on the trike 🤣🤣🤣 1
videoarizona Posted November 27, 2022 #1314 Posted November 27, 2022 Went for a ride today. Had to take a break from loading the trailer for a trip to the Colorado River this coming week. Need to get out of town and relax! 1
RDawson Posted November 28, 2022 #1315 Posted November 28, 2022 Walked in the shop to a couple bikes taking a nap as Carl would say. My 1st Gen hadn’t been ridden in several years, the tires and air ride finally leaked down enough it tipped to the right and fell on a Honda automatic setting beside it. Luckily I had put a box of Coro-plast (corrugated plastic sheets) between them this week that absorbed the damage. It looked like a good spot to store the box for a few days. The Honda hit the wall, not sure if there’s damage or not yet. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

1BigDog Posted November 30, 2022 #1317 Posted November 30, 2022 Tried 89 octane ethanol free gas today. The old girl actually likes it. 2
N3FOL Posted December 1, 2022 #1318 Posted December 1, 2022 Rode to and from work last Monday. Temperature dipped down to 30 degrees and had to turn on the heat on the SVTC. My RSV will have to wait for warmer temps during the day. Still trying to find some downtime to work on the maintenance of my '07 RSV. 2
ChiefGunner Posted December 9, 2022 #1319 Posted December 9, 2022 Well, I ordered some 9” LED light bars for the trunk sides which arrived today. I have matching 4.5” ones for the rear of the trunk but they won’t arrive until Saturday. The side ones you see here will be running/turn as well as the rear ones. Wasn’t able to get them wired in today due to lack of materials to do it properly including quick disconnect waterproof plugs. Will have that Sunday, so I’ll have to post a short video of operation when done. 3
ChiefGunner Posted December 12, 2022 #1320 Posted December 12, 2022 Well, the rear ones came in this afternoon. Now all I need to do is run wires. 3
ChiefGunner Posted December 17, 2022 #1322 Posted December 17, 2022 On 12/14/2022 at 6:43 PM, Woody said: Looking good, I like lights Thanks Woody! I like being visible! It bothered me that this bIke had no high mount turn signals. This will cure that.
ChiefGunner Posted December 20, 2022 #1323 Posted December 20, 2022 Finally finished wiring in the trunk mounted run/turn signals. I thinks it works well. I think all I need now is one of those “back off” brake flashers. FullSizeRender.MOV 3
ChiefGunner Posted December 29, 2022 #1324 Posted December 29, 2022 Finally got the wig-wag flasher in. I like the visibility. Had to be mindful of where I tied it in so that trailer lights and colored LEDs didn’t flash. IMG_2933.MOV 3
