Talking about what will fit and what wont fit and all that fun stuff...

Was recently sorting through and packing up a bunch of V-Max parts I sold to one of our members (wait till he opens that GREAT BIG BOX OF FUN :big-grin-emoticon:) and I found a complete V-Max front brake system.. Getting ready to update my ongoing "parts for sale" listing but thought before I do that I should ask about this braking system - specifically,, does anyone know if the early Single Piston Calipers on the V-max were interchangeable with the Single Piston MK1's? I know they will not fit the MK2 dual piston's mounts (86 up) but was wondering about the 1's..

Thanks ya bunch of lop eared,,,, I mean ya bunch of very intelligent, motorcycle geniuses who I humbly :bowdown::bowdown: on a daily basis :big-grin-emoticon:

I'm about 92% sure they are interchangeable Puc, but 8% thinks there may be some kind of difference. Heck, you have a MK1, why not try them on your scoot to see if they bolt up...

I am still dealing with numbness in my hands and doing very little wrench spinning Bob,,,,, BUT - you writing that reminded me of something - I think I got a parts bike out back with no calipers on it that I could just slide em onto for a peek - good point Bongo, THANKS for the suggestion!! I will post what I find so you can still be as smart as me:big-grin-emoticon:
