Marcarl Posted July 17, 2016 #2 Posted July 17, 2016 Have you got the antennas hooked up right? The antenna with the load coil in the middle should be on the left side of the bike.
Larry1963 Posted July 17, 2016 #3 Posted July 17, 2016 My cb will receive very well but wont transmit. Any suggestions? Go to a CB shop or find a ham radio operator, they will have a power meter, can hook up to the end of your antenna and see how much power you are putting out. Does the little red light come on when you pull the transmit button.
Larry1963 Posted July 17, 2016 #4 Posted July 17, 2016 My cb will receive very well but wont transmit. Any suggestions? does the receiver stop when you pull the button, when I got my bike the CB would not transmit nor when I pulled the CB talk button the receiver didn't shut off (go quite) so I knew it was in the button, I squirted some contact cleaner in there and it worked. Sometimes it still does not work, I need to take it a part and clean the contacts.
