gggGary Posted July 13, 2016 #1 Posted July 13, 2016 (edited) I've been looking, really I have! 1999 RSV Per parts list main jets install #1 and #2 122.5 #3 117.5 #4 120 all other brass is the same in all 4 carbs. I found a post listing the cylinder order as L rear #1 , R Rear #3 , L front #2 , R front #4 but just that one post, haven't found the full numbering in the service manual and I found contradictory info in the ever reliable "fixya" :roll eyes: The manual synch procedure shows the left rear as #1 , a few posts stated well yeah 1 and 3 need to be in the same bank (rear) as well as 2 and 4 together in front. So the jets should be both left side 122.5 front right 120 rear right 117.5 I wouldn't doubt this but... that's not how the jets were arranged when I pulled the float bowls. This will be oopsie number two found on day two of my ownership. Installed wrong would not surprise me, the "shop" that took the PO's mooney didn't even kiss him when they got paid. Still I would like confirmation before reinstalling the carbs. Thanks for any help and I'm finding lots of good stuff in this forum. 122.5 120 122.5 117.5 Or when looking into the carbs from the bottom on the bench, choke knob on left 122.5 117.5 122.5 120 Edited July 13, 2016 by gggGary
MiCarl Posted July 13, 2016 #2 Posted July 13, 2016 I believe the cylinder numbering you listed is correct. If I remember correctly, the cylinder numbering is listed in the valve lash section of the manual.
Kirby Posted July 14, 2016 #3 Posted July 14, 2016 Per parts list main jets install #1 (left rear)and #2 (left front)122.5 #3 (right rear)117.5 #4 (right front)120 Cylinders are numbered as if you are sitting on the bike. According to the service manual, page 2-9, this is true.
