Guest DREBBIN Posted January 21, 2007 #1 Posted January 21, 2007 Whenever it gets to icy or snowy to ride I try to go over some of my pics I use to help me with safety. You Virginia riders may recognize these signs -- what do you think this sign is warning you about?
sarges46 Posted January 21, 2007 #2 Posted January 21, 2007 I cant read the far one. Pedestrians walking on the road motorcycle use caution- self explanetary me thinks 10'6" overhead height limit....hmmmm must be low bridge or branches somewhere ahead.
dray Posted January 21, 2007 #3 Posted January 21, 2007 I cant read the far one. Pedestrians walking on the road motorcycle use caution- self explanetary me thinks 10'6" overhead height limit....hmmmm must be low bridge or branches somewhere ahead. what he said watch for ped-xing drive slow
hipshot Posted January 21, 2007 #4 Posted January 21, 2007 pedestrians from 10 untill 6????? just a shot in the dark. just jt
Yammer Dan Posted January 21, 2007 #5 Posted January 21, 2007 Walkers have to jump 10' 6" to grab branches and get out of way of motorcycles!!!
rosebud Posted January 21, 2007 #6 Posted January 21, 2007 Motorcycle riders watch out for the pedestrians wider than 10'6 "..
BuddyRich Posted January 21, 2007 #8 Posted January 21, 2007 I think the motorcycles is possibly for 2 reasons. Very narrow road, and the camber on the turns. On a sharp left turn your gonna be leaning into oncoming traffic and no place to go.
dray Posted January 21, 2007 #9 Posted January 21, 2007 Motorcycle riders watch out for the pedestrians wider than 10'6 ".. if you ran into one you could get stuck in a crack when on the road:think:
Guest Bigin Posted January 21, 2007 #10 Posted January 21, 2007 Hell any ridge runner knows this is a Bigfoot Crossing and he is 10' 6". Come on guys.
Guest Doug Posted January 22, 2007 #11 Posted January 22, 2007 I got it!I got it! It means there is a 10'-6" guy, walking up and down the road,so motorcycles use caution... Howd I do? Doug
Yammer Dan Posted January 22, 2007 #12 Posted January 22, 2007 Think I saw him late one night out riding the backroads up here..
1BigDog Posted January 22, 2007 #13 Posted January 22, 2007 Motorcycle riders watch out for the pedestrians wider than 10'6 ".. if you ran into one you could get stuck in a crack when on the road:think: Watch it there...thats discrimination........and I resemble that remark....
Guest DREBBIN Posted January 22, 2007 #14 Posted January 22, 2007 BRIDGE AHEAD --(a very cool covered bridge) And the wood planks are NOT conducive to safe MC use -- some pretty big gaps -- YIKES !!! This is just north of New Market VA off US 11 RIDE SAFE, DREBBIN
Marcarl Posted January 22, 2007 #15 Posted January 22, 2007 I thought it would mean, motor cycles use caution or you'll be walking.
