Clutch Cover bolt orientation

Woops! I'm bad. I'm about to do a clutch job & forgot there's a difference with two cover bolts. I don't remember the location to the two longer cover bolts. Can someone help me out?

Can't tell you off the top of my head but if you look at the parts diagram it will show you which one is which.

Thx anyway Don, however between the parts list, service manual, or owners manual, nobody indicates where they go. Grrrrrrr...

The two long ones will stick out of the wrong holes a country mile. Try them in each hole and put them in the ones where they only stick out about 1/2 inch.

 

Alternatively you can install the short bolts first. If the threads don't grab you've found a deep hole.

You are right....the parts diagram isn't very clear...

bolt 27 part # 91314-06025 qty 7

bolt 28 part # 91314-06035 qty 2 - the longer of the two (indicated by 06035)

 

The parts diagram appears to show bolt 28 at a position of 2 o'clock but doesn' show where the second one goes. I would expect it would be around 10 o'clock....but that would be my guess.

 

I didn't do my clutch but someone else did so I couldn't say exactly where the second one goes.

10 & 2 o'clock are the long ones. Just did mine.
