VanRiver Posted July 6, 2016 #1 Posted July 6, 2016 (edited) Since I got my Venture's I have been hooked....as with all addictions I'm always looking for my next fix...and a V-max is the next logical step in my path to full Yamaha 4 cylinder water cooled addiction. Anyway, to serve my addiction I'm always looking on Kijiji up here in Canada or Craigslist down at my other home in Phoenix AZ. Well lookie what I found here....a fully blown 85 V-max that dreams are made of. Do you think I could put a blower and NOS on my Venture too? I can only imagine what this guys has invested in this bike...let alone what he is willing to sell it for (asking $20,000). It was so pretty and super fantastic I thought I just had to share. Here is the Ad if anyone wants to buy it: http://flagstaff.craigslist.org/mcy/5668970929.html And some pic's for those to drool over just like me. Hey @cowpuc I bet this one could have given your dear old "Crud" a run for it's money in a street race! Edited July 6, 2016 by VanRiver
cowpuc Posted July 6, 2016 #2 Posted July 6, 2016 WOW ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ WOW WOW WOW - ROCK N ROLL RIV!!!:dancefool::dancefool::dancefool::clap2::clap2::scared::scared::173::173::173::scared::scared::173::173: :scratchchin:,,,,,,:think:,,, :mugshot::mugshot::mugshot::mugshot::mugshot::mugshot::mugshot: THAT PUPPY IS GORGEOUS!! Asking 20k!! The article says he has 45k in it - betcha that does NOT include build time!! Wow,, that thing is breath taking!!! Hey Riv - BUY IT - bring it over and let me ride it and I will give you my very very best HONEST opinion as to whether or not it would have given Crud the mud!! :big-grin-emoticon::big-grin-emoticon::big-grin-emoticon::big-grin-emoticon:
VanRiver Posted July 6, 2016 Author #3 Posted July 6, 2016 For only 20K might make a good engine swap candidate into AZZI the 86 Venture Royale! Too bad she is a chain drive....owner must have sold the V-Max diff to a fellow venture owner to raise some cash for all that chrome! @cowpuc if I did buy it I would be too scared to ride it!!! So I would be happy to drop it by your house so a more skilled rider could get some seat time while the NOS is flowing! But you would need to buy all the Mother's wax and cleaning products to keep all that chrome pretty when you were done with it.
bongobobny Posted July 6, 2016 #4 Posted July 6, 2016 Whooee lookit at all that purdy chrome!! What I want to know is how does he stop that thing with the stock brakes?!!?
Condor Posted July 6, 2016 #5 Posted July 6, 2016 Whooee lookit at all that purdy chrome!! What I want to know is how does he stop that thing with the stock brakes?!!? Or... how does it launch with that skinny tire. Bet it would be the hit of the show at the Sturgis Burn-Out. OooooWeeee!!

cowpuc Posted July 7, 2016 #7 Posted July 7, 2016 THat one ain't about Stopping. It's about GOING!!! Brown Sugar was trembling when I brought up those pics. Tell Sugar she aint the only one trembling DanL,,, adrenalin hit me so hard when I looked at that puppy there was a 4 inch blur surrounding my body and I vibrated across the garage floor like I was one of those little football players on those vibrating football games we had as kids (,,, you guys remember those?)... videoarizona Posted July 7, 2016 #8 Posted July 7, 2016 (edited) Holy Moly......that is one for the books.... 250 hp at the rear wheel...without the nitrous.....yikes! Edited July 7, 2016 by videoarizona
Condor Posted July 7, 2016 #9 Posted July 7, 2016 The bikes listed on the Flagstaff AZ Craigslist, and the license plate is from Connecticut.... Someone in AZ needs to go look at it. Strange it's on CL. If it were mine it would be consigned to Barrett-Jackson in Scotsdale.... That's were the money is..
