StarFan Posted July 5, 2016 #1 Posted July 5, 2016 Had the misfortune in beginning of April that a 17 year old girl backed me and my Red Baron down. Had to get a new Fender (Yamaha did not have the right color) and had it painted. Perfect match but also had to change all the things attached to the fender. Well, could say it happened at the right time since I had made some templates for a tank bib, a trunk bib and some saddle bag lid covers and Nanci at Ace High Leather was in the progress of making them. It all came in the post around the same time the fender was ready from the painter so I was able to change everything out and put these nice things from Nanci on the bike. These bibs were the final dress up thing I wanted for the Baron so now FINALLY the bike is complete. Gotta say that Nanci did a great job as always and never ceases to amaze me Below are some pictures of the Baron finally done. AND,,,,,,,,I am done and there will be nothing more,,,,IT IS DONE !!!!!! Period !!!!!!!!!! Came to my mind that maybe I should have the passanger grab rails braided with the same Red and Silver material as the seats and also the brake and clutch levers ? http://i1281.photobucket.com/albums/a501/jonaslill/Red%20baron%20finished/IMG_0764_zpsbxuogk4a.jpg http://i1281.photobucket.com/albums/a501/jonaslill/Red%20baron%20finished/IMG_0299_zps7cpr2rde.jpghttp://i1281.photobucket.com/albums/a501/jonaslill/Red%20baron%20finished/IMG_0296_zpsahujys8q.jpghttp://i1281.photobucket.com/albums/a501/jonaslill/Red%20baron%20finished/IMG_0283_zpsov9jhtvf.jpghttp://i1281.photobucket.com/albums/a501/jonaslill/Red%20baron%20finished/IMG_0763_zpsyxp7fj8r.jpg http://i1281.photobucket.com/albums/a501/jonaslill/Red%20baron%20finished/IMG_0762_zpswkwhcbum.jpg http://i1281.photobucket.com/albums/a501/jonaslill/Red%20baron%20finished/IMG_0757_zpskigf6vir.jpg http://i1281.photobucket.com/albums/a501/jonaslill/Red%20baron%20finished/IMG_0755_zpsrj9a2foi.jpg

Carbon_One Posted July 6, 2016 #9 Posted July 6, 2016 An absolutely gorgeous bike Jonas. Well done friend. Larry
DblTrbl Posted July 6, 2016 #11 Posted July 6, 2016 Very nice!!! I'm surprised you don't already have that Slingshot
StarFan Posted July 6, 2016 Author #12 Posted July 6, 2016 Ahh,,,,The Slingshot,,,,Negosiations in constant progress with the Boss but nowhere near coming to an agreement due to current property investment. But who needs a property and who does not need a Slingshot. The negosiations will continue.
oldgoat Posted July 6, 2016 #13 Posted July 6, 2016 ok you have the red baron now time to make a snoopy?
Luvdaleather Posted July 6, 2016 #16 Posted July 6, 2016 So Jonas, yes it is done. :sun:For the record, this man is relentless when it comes to designing something he wants to put on a bike. :smash2:He pushes my abilities beyond what I think I'm comfortable doing, is patient and somehow knows I can do it. What can I say about working with vinyl with incredible detail? :confused24:It's not leather :headache:and doesn't behave like leather so Jonas then brings in what he calls "German Velcro". With that he transforms what I felt would never fit right into "you'd be surprised what I can do with that stuff". :banana:When I said "You folks in Iceland must like really fancy bikes" :ignore:he emailed me back and said "yes we do". There you have it!
Luvdaleather Posted July 6, 2016 #17 Posted July 6, 2016 Oh and more thing, the braided passenger hand grips are missing................
BlueSky Posted July 6, 2016 #18 Posted July 6, 2016 I'd be afraid to ride that bike. It might get a bug on the front.
Ay_Dee Posted July 6, 2016 #19 Posted July 6, 2016 I'd like to see the RED boots that go with that bike .... his or hers .... doesn't matter
The Tooch Posted July 6, 2016 #21 Posted July 6, 2016 I'd like to see the RED boots that go with that bike .... his or hers .... doesn't matter I believe Jonas said something about these boots.....were what he had in mind to go with the Red Baron....... .
steamer Posted July 7, 2016 #23 Posted July 7, 2016 I'd be afraid to ride that bike. It might get a bug on the front. Not possible. Jonas had all bugs exported from Iceland.
cowpuc Posted July 7, 2016 #24 Posted July 7, 2016 :scared:WHAT - NO ICELANDIC GREMLIN CHIME (see pic)? I wouldn't ride my bicycle in Iceland with out a chime on it,, much less something THAT gorgeous!! WOW ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ WOW WOW WOW Jonas - BEAUUUTIFUL BROTHER = YOU DA MAN:thumbsup: And that Nanci is DEFINITELY the MASTER when it comes to making leather speak to it - SHE ROCKS!!!
