Trader Posted July 4, 2016 #1 Posted July 4, 2016 Well I went and did it again! Yesterday I took 14 hours door to door (return) and picked up a '84 standard the plastic is a bit rough but it has good tires no radio or class but it's got a strong engine. He said he couldn't get it into first so I think I just need to fix the shift sequence. He said the carbs were "professionally cleaned" before storing with stabil in the gas. I only paid $350 plus about $100 in gas so for $450 (Canadian) I got a bike that might even see the road again. If not it's worth a lot more than that for parts. VIN JYA41U003EA000710

Trader Posted July 5, 2016 Author #7 Posted July 5, 2016 (edited) OK! OK! nag...nag...nag I know this place is like a family but I already HAVE a wife:smile5: Here's a couple of shots. Sorry Dan....it's red. Its pretty dirty and most of the plastic was in the back of the car. The vin number is correct according to the ownership but I can check the bike later. I bought the trailer from Swifty?? ( Dave Fast...former member) about 2 years ago but it this is the first time I used it. About 6 hour drive each way (plus stops) and it worked beautifully. It collapses down and could be stored in a broom closet! Edited July 5, 2016 by Trader
BlueSky Posted July 5, 2016 #8 Posted July 5, 2016 I like the looks of these Ventures without the bags and trunk!
Yammer Dan Posted July 5, 2016 #9 Posted July 5, 2016 Riding them without bags and trunk is a completely different ride!!
VanRiver Posted July 5, 2016 #10 Posted July 5, 2016 That is a pretty sweet trailer design, I sure could use one of those in my Broom closet! Oh and very nice bike too....best $350 you will probably ever spend.
