Rob Swallows Posted July 3, 2016 #1 Posted July 3, 2016 Well we are away in central Illinois enjoying a small family get together for the long holiday weekend. We planned to take the bike for this but decided to check the weather forecast prior to loading up. Citing heavy rain was in the "lions share" of the time, we elected to load up the Durango instead. It has been raining in like a cow "pizzing on a flat rock" for over 18 hours as I type this. I'm thinking we made the correct choice and my ears are grateful.....
djh3 Posted July 3, 2016 #2 Posted July 3, 2016 Better to be lucky than good sometimes. Wife and I were in Daytona for Spring Break on the bike. The day we had to travel home it started sprinkling as we were leaving. Looked at radar on phone and decided to just gear up. Good thing as it rained kind of like your saying for a good 3 hours on I 95 south. I don't think any rain gear can keep you completely dry in those conditions. I just hope to keep the drawers dry.
slowrollwv Posted July 3, 2016 #3 Posted July 3, 2016 It has been nice here for the most part of the weekend but we are supposed to get rain tonight and tomorrow.
Karaboo Posted July 4, 2016 #4 Posted July 4, 2016 Sunshine and upper 70's (maybe 80) for four days straight. Friday through Monday.
Rob Swallows Posted July 4, 2016 Author #5 Posted July 4, 2016 Hasn't stopped raining for over 19 hours as I type this. Slows down to barely, then deluge again. Rob
djh3 Posted July 4, 2016 #6 Posted July 4, 2016 Sunshine and upper 70's (maybe 80) for four days straight. Friday through Monday. We had upper 70's the last couple days too. Only ours were from like midnight to 5 am.
