Been down right insane around here.. Last weekend,, I had my choice between E.R. during the weekend or to the Dr. on Monday (Tip can be downright cantankerous when she has to be). Dr. visit on Monday resulted in a bunch of blood test last Thursday and a bunch of imaging stuff for this Thursday and another Stress test this Friday. Then my Harley riding buddy (the one I built the Harley Trike with) started having some very similar issues to what I have been dealing with decided he should go in and get checked so he went in.. They ended up finding out he had come down with the "Widow Maker" heart blockage (98% blockage - the surgeon told us 2% more and he would be a goner) and ended up with a stint being put in on Fathers Day - got the call early Sunday morning.. Just came from my buddies house,, he looks GREAT for all he has been thru.. I am SOOOO thankful that my friend is gonna be ok. The saga continues..

Well Pucster, we don't how long any of us is gonna' be here. We just appreciate that we are here by the grace of God. By the way, did you ever get your other hand operated on, and can you work on motorcycles again?

GOT THAT RIGHT BROTHER!!!! My left hand repair has been sidelined until they can figure out some more of this heart related stuff - like dog chasing his tail I tell ya.. Our original GP left her practice unannounced (I literally walked into her office for an appointment to update her on my right hand repair therapy and was notified she had permanently left the practice the day before) and we now have a new GP who I have seen 3 times.. That appointment last Monday drew my new doctors attention back to my heart... Just crazy BUT - like you Beastwood - it is soooo nice to know that God has it alll in his control!

Keep after it Puc. We got a ride to take. See if this sounds like ya heard it before. I've never been lazy except when ya ask the Warden..... But just cain't find energy to walk across the room. Been jumping thru hoops for family last week or so and I'm wore plum out. (Ain't forgot Boss Man.) Just ain't got any git up and go at all. Just feel wore out all the time. If son tears up another mower I'm going back in time and use a rubber!!! Got bike stuff to do and I need some energy!!! Warden walked past me with that walk she has the other day and I thought "I oughta chase that" but then I thought "I might catch it" So I sat back down!!!:95::Avatars_Gee_George::mugshot:

Puc, You win already. Stop finding new ways to abuse yourself......... You get well and we can find lots of ways to at least verbally abuse you. Besides you still need to make a trip over here some time to see some toys fly.

Unfortunately I know what a toll all this med stuff can have on a person, both physically and mentally.

Oh, and tell Tippy thanks for being downright cantankerous......

Prayers are out for both you and your buddy.

We know about the Widow Maker as that is the one that Linda had to have replaced as a stint could not be used. Several heart surgeons we talked with did not even want to try to fix it as the stakes were so high. I believe that one is on the back side of the heart.

Just remember, getting old is not for wimps. :backinmyday:

20160622_212955.jpgSo this is what I came home to tonight. Mexican style almost gumbo. Wives may nag us but they do tend to take care of us better than we would take care of ourselves. Hang in there Mr Puck. Prayers are with you.

Hope , everything turns out ok for you Puc. I have tests this morning to determine how bad my peripheral Atrerial Desease is( pretty bad i can tell you ).

Puc I sure hope you studied for your tests today.

Watch out for them docs they can do trick questions in these tests and end up finding completely unrelated stuff they weren't even looking for and you never studied for.

GOOD LUCK!!

and THAT my friend is EXACTLY whats been going for the last 2 years:thumbsup: - sometimes I think I talk to much during those tests :big-grin-emoticon: = I told the ER doctor about the chest tightness/pain, headaches, tiredness, tingling down my arms, stiff neck on the left side, blurry vision and feeling like I had an air bubble on the left side of my sternum and was concerned about my heart.. He shook his head and said, "the ONLY indicator of a heart issue in all that is the chest tightness and pain"... :big-grin-emoticon:

Actually Fool,,,, I should have learned to keep my big mouth SHUT a long time ago cause by doing the same thing over the course of the last couple years of chasing this thing we are at , a leaky Meninga Seal, Dupentren's, Prostate Cancer, Adrenal Deficency and Heart Arithmia/Sic Sinus - all I am told are non related to how icky I have been feeling.. Today's list of stuff consist of another sinus CT to take a look at the Seal again, Thyroid and neck ultra sound (ongoing stiff neck), Chest X-ray.

Tomorrow's is another stress test.. I failed the one I had last year, thats when they found the Sic Sinus and I ended up at a Cardiologist who said he could not do anything for me unless I was passing out and refused my request to see an electrophysiologist like you and I had talked about.. If I fail this one I am going ask my GP if he could send me to a different Cardiologist - if he will do so I am gonna try and get into the same Cardio that did my friends stint - he is new to the area and I would like to get his opinion of all this stuff..

I will try my best to reduce the size of the main jet that feeds my :Im not listening toif I can get in to see him...

GOOD POINT FOOL - I got about 2 hours here before it all begins,, will hit the books and do some cramming!! Thank you for the advice and THANK YOU (and others too) for the well wish brother!!!

Well I soared thru that mess with flying colors,,,, todays stress test went so well that I didnt have to go thru the second part. I dont see my GP until next week but the guy who did the stress test said I had NO sign of blockages,, NO Widow Maker looking stuff and hopefully NO stint like my buddy had to have :dancefool::hurts:!!! I know I have sic sinus (heart skips I beat once in a while) but they still say that is fine..

On the other side of the coin lays the fact they still dont have a clue (bunch of other test were done this week so I probably should not say that) why I am so tired, hard time focusing and feel icky,,,, arggg...

To celebrate the good news, Tip and I took the new scoot out for a short ride to continue breaking it in.. When we left I was feeling at about 60%.. About have way thru a couple hour ride I got feeling really tired again, hard to focus, tired and lathargic.. As we were headed home Tip mentioned hearing something about blood sugar causing stuff like I have been struggling with the last couple years.. Thats one of the few things that havent been checked, picked up a cheapy monitor and just checked it = 71.. Did a quick google and found out that is a little low.. The site that said it was low recommended eating a tablespoon of honey, eat something and check it again in an hour or so.. Just did the honey and now eating a Hamburger :thumbsup2:..

Be really interesting if all this stuff was related to Blood Sugar or something... Wonder if Diabetes can happen with age,, seems like at my age I would have had it long ago if ever...

Pucster, Diabetes works the other way around, your blood sugar gets really high and you need to regulate it DOWN to normal levels. Yes, a reading of 71 is on the low side, normal is around 100 on up to say 150 or so. A low reading is a sign of HYPOGLYCEMIA and maybe you should monitor yourself 4 times a day, before eating and before you go to bed. Before eating you should be around 90 to 120, about an hour after eating it should be in the upper 100's, and gradually lower back to around 100 after a few hours. Good thing to monitor, but be sure you consult your Doctor as to what you are doing and he will set you straight on what you are doing and what is expected to be normal. Low blood sugar will zap you as your body is running out of energy when it's low. For me, if I drop to that low or lower, I get the shakes and my body feels like I'm on amphetamines, nervous and jerky. High blood sugar, like in the 200's or 300's and I get kind of sluggish and lazy...

Thanks Bongo:thumbsup:!! Here's where I am at now that we discovered I have the lower stuff.. After testing about 7:30pm tonight and finding it at 71 I read to take a tablespoon of Honey and eat something so I did - Honey at 8:15 - couple burgers at 8:30.. I also read to recheck it in 2 hours.. My buddy who just had a heart stint put in called - we went down and sat in his garage and got talking bikes,, of course.. Was feeling ok, able to concentrate and focus somewhat. At 10:15, while sitting in his garage I could feel myself sliding again, tired/blurry eyes/tingly/real dingy.. Shot home and took another test = 68 this time.. On the list of things other than Honey was 1/2 cup Orange Juice and then test in 45 minutes. Picked up some OJ (NO VODKA SO DONT EVEN GO THERE), did the half cup at 11:05, gonna check it again soon,, right now feeling a little better...

If I feel better and the reading is up, the site I got the info from said to try Glucose Tablets.. May go into town, pick up some of those at the local pharmacy (if they are over the counter?) and try to chase this thing up to 150 and see how I feel - kind of a pre doctor science experiment!!

I am hearing that brother!!! That gorgeous Tweeks II sits in the garage just panting for a cross country trip with all the fixins and BEGS for a Hot Dog outing!! Thing is AMAZING!!! This thing is like a brand new bike, functioning 2nd gear (AMAZING), SOLID clutch, brakes that keep Tippy giggling as I lightly tap the front brake and we have to watch where our heads are cause we dont want em smacking each other, fork seals that dont leak, a working speedo AND gas gauge so Tip dont have to worry about pushing when we run out of gas, no more warning flasher with 3 consistent warning icons lit all the time, functional kickstand switch, doesnt feel like its bending when going around corners, turn signals that work every time I hit the switch, spark plug cables that dont electrocute my legs while I am hugging her in the corners, no coolant drippage on the floor on cold mornings, funtional reserve lighting unit, no funny bearing noises that quiet down when I lift it off the kickstand, a swing arm that doesnt moan with pain when we sit on the seat, a clutch lever with way less than an inch of up and down movement in it PLUS even the little gas tank cap chain is still intact!!!!

Gonna be some really interesting and fun times chasing the front wheel on Tweeks II for 240k miles (this one already had 76k on it) just to see exactly how many of Tweeks retirement ailments are hidden in there somewhere :big-grin-emoticon:

You and Sue keep that gorgeous Trike of yours ready for some Hot Dogs brother,, wont be long and we'll be chowing down and dancing to the music!!:dancefool::thumbsup: Gonna spend the big bucks and go all out for the next one - you two aint gonna wanna miss it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:thumbsup2:

Cowpuc, I hope you and your Doctors are getting closer to figure your health concerns so you can get back to the kind of living that you want to be doing. God Bless Brother. Hope to see you this summer.
