vicco27 Posted June 22, 2016 #1 Posted June 22, 2016 Just saw on KVAL news that there is a fire just 5 miles west of The Dalles. That's right where we had the 2014 Venture West Rally. The fire is in the Chenowith district, which is what the area where the restaurant and motel are located. So far, the fire is 100 acres. Hope it doesn't get too big or out of control. A lot will depend on the weather. It's really dry up that way right now and it's always windy. Both things are bad for dealing with wild fires.
