Eck Posted June 20, 2016 #1 Posted June 20, 2016 Removed my GW seat today to find out why the 12 volt plug quit that I have in my left rear passenger glove compartment so that I can charge my phone. After I removed the seat I saw where it was pretty darn nasty (dusty) under there around all the wires and relays, so not wanting to use water to rinse it off I decided to use the 210MPH leaf blower. Man that leaf blower did the job very well, and I was really impressed with how clean it looked afterwards, until I looked outside and saw our black Avalanche that I just spent the last 3 days waxing. Guess that wasn't the smartest idea I've had lately....
slowrollwv Posted June 20, 2016 #2 Posted June 20, 2016 Don't feel bad Eck. I did the same thing to my Black Mustang. When I realized what I did I looked at and said you dumb a#% look what you did.:bang head:
Sylvester Posted June 20, 2016 #3 Posted June 20, 2016 DUHH I have had many similar experiences. And I plan on more:farmer: in the future!
Flyinfool Posted June 20, 2016 #4 Posted June 20, 2016 If the blower is that good at moving dust, hit the car with the blower and that dust should blow right off.
Yammer Dan Posted June 20, 2016 #6 Posted June 20, 2016 SEE!! This cleaning thing is way overrated!!! :backinmyday:
Venturous Randy Posted June 21, 2016 #7 Posted June 21, 2016 Years ago I had a beautiful 300ZX Turbo that was black. When I sold it I swore I would never get a black car again unless it was a Grand National Buick. I now have a black Infinity and a black Miata. They look real good when they are clean, but that seems to only last a couple minutes. Randy
bongobobny Posted June 21, 2016 #8 Posted June 21, 2016 Yup!! Long time ago we learned to NEVER own a black vehicle!! Wash, polish, pull up lawn chair and watch it get dirty...
djh3 Posted June 21, 2016 #9 Posted June 21, 2016 My world now that I have a black bike. I really dont like the black paint. It does look sharp for the 5 minutes or so its clean.
DblTrbl Posted June 21, 2016 #10 Posted June 21, 2016 Yup!! Long time ago we learned to NEVER own a black vehicle!! Wash, polish, pull up lawn chair and watch it get dirty... except it's usually dirty before you get the lawn chairs!
Marcarl Posted June 21, 2016 #11 Posted June 21, 2016 Should have used the sucker machine Eck. 'course that would not have been nearly as innovative and you would be wondering what you tell us about next. Glad you used the leaf blower!
cowpuc Posted June 22, 2016 #12 Posted June 22, 2016 Know EXACTLY how ya feel brother!!! Been there enough times that I am surprised Tippy don't nickname me "The Cat In The Hat"...
