Spyder Posted June 20, 2016 #1 Posted June 20, 2016 Can anyone explain why a lot of people recommend using 40 psi during the break in period and then trying to dial it in? With about 20 miles on my new Nexen CT my wife and I took about a 60 mile ride today. Mostly two lane country roads with sweeping curves between 35 and 45 mph and no issues cornering. Except...90 degree turns at intersections. Every time it seemed to slide out just a little. Made my heart skip every time. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Holly Posted June 20, 2016 #2 Posted June 20, 2016 Running a ct takes a bit of adjustment, myself I run between 45 and 50 psi, I know over the recommended, but ct don't have much for a sidewall.
Spyder Posted June 20, 2016 Author #3 Posted June 20, 2016 Thanks. I was thinking maybe I needed to go ďown to keep the tire more flat when cornering but already feels soft. Guess I'll have to play up and down.
wizard Posted June 20, 2016 #4 Posted June 20, 2016 I have been running a BFG for a while and the max I use is 30 psi two up. When I'm solo I like 28 pounds.
