Pretty cool but I think that the saddlebags on a touring bike would block the lights and make them pretty much useless.

Interesting idea....the saddlebags would certainly block the view for anyone directly behind but anywhere beyond that angle should be able to see them.

Hmmmm, almost looks like the LED strip lights I have glued to the bottom edge of my floorboards, both driver and passenger, and they were a whole lot less than $300, more like less than $10 per pair...
