I believe it's on there to keep the tire clean from other chemicals that could harm the rubber. I would leave on it till you use it.

Keep it wrapped. Even just air moving across a motorcycle tire can cause the rubber to dry out. This can lead to cracking later in life.

I guess it depends for how long. I would want to check and see if its the tire I ordered, date of manufacture on the tire, and check for any defects. Most places have a limited time to return the item.

Hey Rick. He did say to leave the plastic on Might gradually get more difficult as you increase in speed too.

I dont order one until I'm ready to change. I open it up, let the beads spread a little if need be and check date codes right away. I got a tie once that the freakin beads were touching. I had to put a couple wood blocks in to spread it a little. Or I would have never got it to seat.
