adventurer 08 Posted June 11, 2016 #1 Posted June 11, 2016 I just rebuilt my carbs they where acting like a stuck float. Did not find anything bad, changed needle and seats anyway. Put it all back together bike started right up using chock, warmed up nice then when I put on the carbtune to sync carbs the left front carb reading was all the way up on the meter. The left rear was half way up but did not pulse like the right side did. Did try to adjust the carbs with no change. Any ideas????? My first problem was popping from the exhaust on idle with a strong gas smell.
rickardracing Posted June 12, 2016 #2 Posted June 12, 2016 John, I would love to help you out on this but carbs are one thing that has baffled me for as long as I can remember. I got nothing for ya buddy. Did miss you and Sandy this weekend though!
adventurer 08 Posted June 12, 2016 Author #3 Posted June 12, 2016 This morning I pulled the carbs off thinking maybe the one carb was sucking air somewhere so I pulled them off looked at everything, pulled off a little gadjet with wirers connected to it that connects to the carb. It has little fingers that lines up with the butterfly rod. When I split the carbs to change the needles and seats it might have not lined up right making that carb stay open a little bit. Put it all back together and bingo. So far so good. Synced the carbs and all is well.
