cb radio doesn't work

have a 1990 venture with 185,000 miles. the cb radio seems to come on, but nothing happens. radio and cassette work fine. any ideas where to start looking?

When you say come on does it show the frequency

I know a different year but I had to learn on my 07 that I had to be in that mode, CB, Radio, or something else to turn up the volume.

When you push the mike button does it show it is transmitting

finally check the coax, if the coax goes bad and you have a high SWR it will not receive well or transmit at all

You have to turn the squelch to where it will receive, but only when there is a signal coming in. There is a pdf owner's manual on the site with good instructions.

Just had to replace mine.
