Hoping someone will be able to troubleshoot an electrical issue I have while we're at Don's MD. My outlet under the left inside of the fairing is not working, so I can't use the GPS....in fact, without it I may not even find my way to Don's!!:confused24::confused24:

If you have time the next couple evenings let me know. If you want to come over we can take a look and figure it out. I'm off all day Thursday as well.

Did you check the fuse to begin with?

Yup Reiny, one of us will get 'er done! I have a short project with Leo3wheel that will take me about a half hour to an hour but after that I'm free. As mentioned, there is a fuse for that outlet on the fuse block that is located inside the front lower cowl, the right one I think. It is not the fuse block that is behind the false battery cover. Also that plug is only on with ignition I think...

Reiny, Yes, bet it is the fuse. Blew mine in Arkansas with my air pump and lost use of my GPS. Opened the right cowling and replaced the 5A fuse with

a spare provided.

Thanks for all the offers....I believe some mucking around was done in that area last year and now the plug for the GPS is a real loose fit so I believe it is probably more then just a fuse, but I will check into that as well.

OK...seems leo3wheel wins the prize! It was nothing more then a blown fuse. Thanks to XV1100SE for the assistance tonight. Got her all fixed up, cleaned up and tomorrow she'll be gassed up....c'mon Friday.
