There is no adjustment for the hydraulic clutch! Did you overfill the reservoir? It should only be filled about halfway up, with the master level, about 1/2 way up the site glass.

 

I am assuming you properly bled the system to get all the bad stuff out of the slave and lines...

Any idea how many fluid ounces one need to pump through to throughly rid of the old stuff?

 

I did probably fill it up too much for I left just a tiny bubble so I could just see it through the glass.

Bongo is once again right on the money IMHO... Another thing small thing that can create a ton of grief is to make sure the bleed back hole in the bottom of the master is not plugged off.. When you get the fluid where it should be as Bob suggested, with the cap off CAREFULLY move the lever in and out a little and watch the smaller hole in the bottom of the master and make sure when you release pressure on the lever you see fluid moving from that pinhole back into the res.. By the way,, if that bleed back gets plugged on one of the brake res's it can EASILY cause the brakes to lock up - its that crucial that those bleed back returns are open..

Best way I have found GnV is to attach a section of clear gas line to the bleed nipple - drape it so it stays full of fluid when your bleeding, you can put a jar under the draped end to bleed into but make a loop so the fluid between the loop and the bleed nipple get no air in it.. The just keep bleeding until clear fluid is all you get.. Careful when refilling the res not to get tiny air bubbles in the fluid.

...and don't get it on the fairing/plastic !! That sucker can spit it up in the air while bleeding. Glad to see you getting closer to back on the road !
