Pucs MGnEM NUMBER 2! Friday, June 3rd in Dublin (Wellston) Michigan!!!

I was talking to Elvis today about tomorrows Meet Greet and Eat Meat ( click here if you didnt hear about that one = http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?120045-Well-it-s-1-for-da-money-2-for-da-show-3-da-get-ready-and-4-da-go-to-a-Puc-s-MGnEM ) and I asked him if he felt up to doing another show this week.. Elv (we are good buddies,, I get to call him Elv) said he had pretty much shake, rattle and rolled the stiffness off he was feeling for a while there and thought he could handle another round this week..

This 2nd Puc's MGnEM will be held in a really cool little town in Northern Michigan known to us older bullet tossing, Venture Riding, Michigan Deer Hunting, Dirtbike Riding and Snowmobiling freaks as Jerkyville ( they make the best and widest variety of jerky known to man there:fatsmiley:)!! Known to others as the town of Dublin and, apparently known to map makers as the town of Wellston cause that's the name used in the address - never knew that.. I just did a Mapquest on the address I am posting here and the address provided here will get you right to our rally point!! I personally know the area like the back of hand - having spent countless hours getting lost in the woods up there - so if you need directions just PM me or,, if your not embarrassed to admit you don't do maps (I dont - I just follow my front wheel and I always end up where I want to go but I am gifted), you can openly ask on here.. I happen to know that @ragtop69gs knows that area really well too (he probably knows the roads up there better than me, I am more familiar with the trees and other deep woods land marks and how to survive off eating worms) and I just bet he would be glad to help with directions if necessary..

,,,, Fenner and Green Creek = front yard? Back yard? In the garage? We could probably even get it in the house and set it up in one of our spare bedrooms if we take the wheels off it and tip it up on its side Raggy:stirthepot::stirthepot::crackup:.. ,,, its skeeter season here - leave the camper home and just sleep in one of those spare bedroom's - they got skeeter screens on em and everything!!

Puc, like you, most of my time up there was spent in the woods with either a rifle or a snowmobile. I can get you anywhere up there on dirt fire roads or sled trails, but the paved roads are another story.

FYI - my Father started hauling me up there as a little boy way back in the late 50's to Deer Hunt with him.. That Dublin Store was always a favorite hang out for my Dad and I as we would brow's the place - munching on Jerky,, buying hunting supplies - looking at new Guns and stuff!! Place is out in the middle of the Great Northern Michigan wilderness - middle of nowhere and just and awesome place!! That yearly trek went on all the up to the point when we lost my Dad just over a year ago.. Lots and lots and LOTS of great memories up there!!

Sorry for the ramble Trbl,,,,,,, they have the BEST Jerky ever - give it em a shot - they come with full 5 star GOOD references from your ol buddy!!

Sorry to hear about the loss of your dad. I lost my mom on Sept 11th, 2014 about 11:45pm.......Friday would have been her 81st birthday. I think she was at my house since there was a beautiful cardinal in my yard that day!!

 

I'll give them a shout. Been a long time since I've had "real" Jerky. When I was in the Air Force I use to get some from friend who lived in North Dakota.

Fogged the yard last night - sent all those nippy little blood suckers on vacation,,, swept a spot off on the slab out front right next a power outlet in case you need to have a light so you can see to shave ... Tip and I just did a skeeter head count,,, nairy a beek in the bunch.. All set if your skeerd to stay inside and wanna drag your second home along!!

Good lord willing and the creek don't rise, Sue and I will be making the trek north for the second of Puc's MG&EM events. Wellston area one of my old stomping grounds too, had a lot near Wolf Lake with a small trailer and did a lot of snow machining and deer hunting in the area. Will be fun to ride those roads again.

Be GREAT to see you folks again!! @bluestar99 , how's 11:30 at that gas station on the corner of Fruitvale and Old 31 sound for you? @Carbon_One ,, @ragtop69gs - looks like another beautiful day tomorrow,, come if ya can!! Raggy - looks like the local skeeters really did not like the fogging - been cutting grass and not a nip to be found!! Also just nailed a Chip Munk sniffing around on the slab where you might wanna park your Camper - he had an acorn in his mouth that I think he was looking for an RSV pipe to put it in - took care of that right smartly too so the coast is clear!! We will be pulling out of here around 11 if you wanna come here first..

Havent heard from anybody else about showing up but I do have this overwhelming feeling that droves of lop eared varmints are gonna try to sneak up on us now that they have seen some Elvis clips.. Good on ya if that is the case!! If you happen to get up there in the willy weeds and are having a hard time finding your way around - we should be passing thru Baldwin Mi on M-37 around 12:30.. There is a Shell station on the corner of M-37 and US-10 that I will glance at as we pass by headed North.. Park your bike/car/canoe/moped/bicycle/baby carriage or running shoes out front of the Shell Station facing M-37 and we will stop in so you can follow my excellent navigational abilities up to the land of Hound Dogs and Hot Dogs!!!
