dogman Posted May 25, 2016 #1 Posted May 25, 2016 I wish to give a public thank you to Ben (Saddlebum), who spent the better part of two days helping me with my Venture that was having an intermittent charging issue. Not to mention this was on our long weekend in Canada when he had a lot of better things to be doing along with the list of chores from his wife. He was able to diagnose the problem to the Regulator and Marcarl came to our rescue and delivered us a Regulator which Ben was able to convert over to fit my bike. I would like to add that Ben did not just help me, as I know nothing. He did the work and explained things as we went along and tried to get me involved but I know he regretted it as I did everything wrong and he had to redo my parts. As we have all said many times, this is a great site, filled with information and most importantly great people. Thank you Ben (Saddlebum)

XV1100SE Posted May 25, 2016 #4 Posted May 25, 2016 A great site ! Recently Wayne (Wizard765) helped me replace my OEM brake hoses with SS braided.
Marcarl Posted May 25, 2016 #5 Posted May 25, 2016 Nice guy that Ben is, sure is handy to have around, just wish he lived closer so he could help more,,, did I really say that? Really, he's a good friend to have, ain't many like him. I didn't say that many don't like him, that would be an error!

saddlebum Posted May 26, 2016 #8 Posted May 26, 2016 (edited) Aw shucks you guys went and got me all flustered .... But just to be clear I didn't exactly do it for free as I was given food for my tummy and drink to wet my whistle. P/S Dogman your welcome. Edited May 26, 2016 by saddlebum
relic Posted May 26, 2016 #9 Posted May 26, 2016 Ben certainly is a great guy and always willing to help and so is Carl and others on this site as well. I am glad you have sorted out the issue with your bike Dave. Never good not knowing if you are going to make it back from a ride having mechanical issues. See you all this Saturday.
