its finally fixed :)

today i took delivery of a dyna 3000, installed it on the bike and all 4 cylinders fired

i had also changed the rear coils but this was not the cure

( whoever decided that was the best place to locate the rear coils needs shooting with ****e ).

so IT IS POSSIBLE for an original ignitor unit to fail on 2 cylinders

all that remains now is to put everything back on and go for a test ride

my 01 did that last year. did the same repairs but also replaced plug caps. Its starting to sound like a known problem....
