XV1100SE Posted May 21, 2016 #1 Posted May 21, 2016 Now that Cowpuc has a pristine bike...kept in amazing condition by Larry all these years... Sorry for the typo...still early morning....add STICKERS or not ?
SilvrT Posted May 21, 2016 #2 Posted May 21, 2016 The stickers are unique to tweeks ... the new bike is pristine and should stay that way IMHO
RedRider Posted May 21, 2016 #3 Posted May 21, 2016 Stickers, stickers, and more stickers. Show it's been ridden! Looking good Puc. RR
rbig1 Posted May 21, 2016 #4 Posted May 21, 2016 well its Puc's bike and Tippy's we will see what they decide. Will Tweeks get put in museum or become parts bike or mail box. This chapter will be full of suspense. I vote yes hahhaha.
Venturous Posted May 21, 2016 #5 Posted May 21, 2016 If he donated Tweeks to the Barber Motorsports Museum in Birmingham he would get free access for life. And... they are adding a whole new section so likely could display it. That bike is so cool and unique I bet it would be a great display.
The Tooch Posted May 21, 2016 #6 Posted May 21, 2016 I think this will evolve as Puc & Tippy get to know their new stead......1st Puc will find a name fitting his new ride and then as time goes by they will decide. Maybe that was Tweaks legacy?! Maybe something new will come up?! Or maybe Puc puts a BIG old scratch in her and has to figure a way to cover it up.... Either way I wish them all the best in their future journeys discovering and building their new relationship.....with an inanimate object! (Admit it....YOU talk to your motorcycle!) Stay tuned for the further adventures of the Puc'ster!!
rbig1 Posted May 21, 2016 #7 Posted May 21, 2016 take a pic of tweeks have it made into a patch then put venture rider logo on it.
Venturous Randy Posted May 21, 2016 #8 Posted May 21, 2016 This could be a sticker convertible as far as stickers. The neat thing about an early 1st gen is the trunk, side bags, tank cover and side panels can be converted from one bike to another in just a few minutes. Other than the front fairing and windshield, that makes up a big part of the bike. Then, if puc wants to take it back to that pristine condition, he can spend a couple minutes and convert it back. As far as moving the rear carrier for his trips, not sure about that. Hey, who says it has to be one way or the other? Randy
BlueSky Posted May 21, 2016 #9 Posted May 21, 2016 Have a photo of Tweeks made into a big sticker and put it on the new bike!
bongobobny Posted May 21, 2016 #10 Posted May 21, 2016 Take off Tweek's plastic and hang on garage walls! Start building new memories and acquaintances...
cowpuc Posted May 21, 2016 #11 Posted May 21, 2016 Good thread XV - THANKS and thanks for all the responses!!! What a dichotomy..
Carbon_One Posted May 21, 2016 #12 Posted May 21, 2016 Great thread . I say let him decide on what path to go after running this one a full summer as is. By then he'd probably have named her if not sooner and will know in his heart the path this #6 will take. I also want to acknowledge DenDen/Denny and the previous owner who had kept excellent records of all maintenance and improvements to the bike during their ownership. Wasn't just me anyhow. I'm happy in knowing that this 83 will have a long relationship touring the countryside taking Tip & Puc to wonderful places around the US. Maybe even Canada. Larry
Trader Posted May 21, 2016 #13 Posted May 21, 2016 ! What a dichotomy.. Ya know Puc the OP was just having some fun and you didn't have to start name calling! Gee... I thought this was a friendly bunch. keep this up and you will have us dividing into 2 conflicting parts!
venturesome Posted May 21, 2016 #15 Posted May 21, 2016 No stickers. That is such a pristine bike I think Puc should shave his beard and wear a tie when riding it!
Flyinfool Posted May 21, 2016 #16 Posted May 21, 2016 I just wouldn't be CowPuc and Tippy if not surrounded by stickers that tell their story.
Yammer Dan Posted May 21, 2016 #17 Posted May 21, 2016 No. Maybe a few Band-Aids. I got a good start!! I bet I could cover "Silver" before the summer is over.......
Oldodge Posted May 22, 2016 #18 Posted May 22, 2016 Maybe some type of roll up or folding material could be carried. It could be adorned with stickers, patches, signatures or whatever. Possibly a bike cover would do the trick.
XV1100SE Posted May 22, 2016 Author #19 Posted May 22, 2016 I think one of the reasons people are saying no tickets is because of the condition of the bike. From the pictures it looks like it just came out of the factory, and all that bling ! Don't hide any of it ! Your last bike was unique. Can't be duplicated.
oldgoat Posted May 22, 2016 #20 Posted May 22, 2016 no sticker I think he should have venture riders members sign it when he meets them.
cowpuc Posted May 22, 2016 #21 Posted May 22, 2016 This fits into this discussion PERFECTLY!! Tuned and tweeked this morning - could just not get it there.. Pulled the carbs and started to dismantle, hands are still numb from surgery,,, staring at Tweeks and remembering years ago heading down this same path with her... There sat Tweeks with everything pretty much worn out EXCEPT for her heart.. The transplant went PERFECTLY!! Here is where this sticker discussion comes into todays story.. As I was doing open heart on Tweeks one of my favorite songs by my all time favorite country singer popped into my mind = Allllll of me,,, why not take allllllllllllll of me,,,,,,, take my stickers I'll never ussseee them,,,,,,,,, you took the part - that once was my heart - soo why not take allllll of me.... Ahhh ohhh
cowpuc Posted May 22, 2016 #22 Posted May 22, 2016 PURRRSSSS LIKE A KITTEN - GOT THE HEART OF LIONESS!!!
Goose68 Posted May 22, 2016 #23 Posted May 22, 2016 PURRRSSSS LIKE A KITTEN - GOT THE HEART OF LIONESS!!! Tweeks lives on
