Guest kober Posted April 13, 2008 #1 Posted April 13, 2008 Found some kickass Billet LED frames that fit our bikes! LEDs are very bright and all the wiring is inside the frame. No wiring mess on back of frame. Guest kober Posted April 13, 2008 #3 Posted April 13, 2008 Sorry, got too involved in figuring out how to post pics .... WWW.billetboys.com. E-mail the guys and they will tell you the model that fits. All their displayed models are for HD. I just bought the one you see in the pic and the same one for the wifes' 1100 Silverado.

Jerry W Posted April 13, 2008 #7 Posted April 13, 2008 Found some kickass Billet LED frames Yep, they kicked my a-- Holy cow.... $305.99 FOR A LICENSE BACK PLATE... Im sorry but that is way over what i would want to spend on one.. I cant afford that......period... Bless you!!!!!!!!! Hey, Eck have you looked at the Harley license plate light kit? They fit our bikes like they were made for them, they are brake/running lights and if you take your time you can pick up a set for under $100.
Eck Posted April 13, 2008 #8 Posted April 13, 2008 Hey, Eck have you looked at the Harley license plate light kit? I sure have Jerry, In fact I have been able to help install two of them now on other bikes.. Many here on this site have the HD light assembly installed.
Jerry W Posted April 13, 2008 #9 Posted April 13, 2008 I have the Harley kit on mine, it adds a lot more light to the back of the back and looks good.
Steve S Posted April 14, 2008 #10 Posted April 14, 2008 I purchased one similar to those 4 years ago for under 60 bucks. $300 plus is WAYYYYY too much for me to pay for a license plate frame. Custom Dynamics, www.customdynamics.com , has several much more reasomably priced. RIDE SAFE
Ferrantelli Posted April 14, 2008 #11 Posted April 14, 2008 I replaced my 1157 tail light bulb with a Custom Dynamics Yamaha LED Tail Light Kit $59.95 http://www.customdynamics.com/Images/vstar_genesis_small.jpgand I installed a Custom Dynamics Dual LED License Plate Frame with running/brake lights $75.95 http://www.customdynamics.com/Images/2028s.jpg Plenty of light uncluttered look- cost $135.90 Not looking like a Harley PRICELESS!!!
Guest kober Posted April 16, 2008 #12 Posted April 16, 2008 I actually replaced my Custom Dynamics License Plate Frame with the new Billet Boys frames. The CD has 4 LED bars portruding from the frame, red top and bottom for running/brakes and amber left and right for turn signals. Never did like the wiring mess on back of the plate and having to cut 4 notches into the plate to get the wires thru. Also never liked the LED bars glued to the outside of the frame. You've got to see those Billet boys frames to appreciate them. Very classy, clean look, chrome back plate, no wires visible anywhere and the recessed LEDs are just as bright and visible as the old CDs were according to my wife who spends many a mile riding 2 sec behind me. Wouldn't let anything Harley get near my bike ...
Dalkopa Posted February 4, 2009 #13 Posted February 4, 2009 Hey Kober, you have any video or photos of this in action at night? $300 is a lot, but then again it does look really sharp compared to some I see. If you or anyone has night time photos of this working, please, post them. Thanks

Dalkopa Posted February 11, 2009 #17 Posted February 11, 2009 (edited) Here is a great alternative to the Billet Boys frame. From Badlands Products at http://www.badlandsmotorcycleproducts.com/2008/Products/License-Plate-Frames.htm, lots of great stuff overall but what I'm talking about is 2/3 way down the page. The rest of their stuff is top notch, I have the Metric Illluminator Run-Turn-Brake module installed and looks/works great. Will get some pics up soon. But check out the Sequential Turn Signal Plate Frame video link about 2/3 down the page. Looks sharp and is only $165. http://www.badlandsmotorcycleproducts.com/2008/videos/sequential.html Here is the direct video link. Hope that helps. Edited February 11, 2009 by Dalkopa Link Addition
KeithR Posted February 11, 2009 #18 Posted February 11, 2009 here is a link to some other plate frames. http://www.electricalconnection.com/other-lighting/license.htm Keith
timgray Posted February 11, 2009 #19 Posted February 11, 2009 I cut 2 pieces of aluminum a bit bigger than the license plate and mounted my own led lights Cost me $18.95 plus 2 hours drilling, soldering and epoxied it all together. Did not want blinkers just a blind the driver bright red on the sides of the plate. what these companies charge for basically the same thing is criminal.
