Changing headlight

Quick question. I know you can change the headlight without splitting the fairing but is there a clip or something keeping it from coming out? And also which way to turn it to remove?

I went with the Sylvania Silverstar Ultra bulb

Gee, it only takes 10 - 15 minutes to split the fairing, then a minute or two max to change out the bulb...

I didn't split the fairing since I'm on the road. I took the hard way.

Glad you got it changed Skid. Bet the newer bulb is a lot brighter.

Yes I have the tools to do it but after a few minutes it turned into determination

I found and used these instructions. Might have been about 1/2 hr changing the bulb but next time will be much faster.

Yes that is the way I done it. Smaller hands would have been easier but patients prevailed. After a little time.

I tried and my hands are a bit too big... also read the instructions... still too big. I will have to see about splitting the faring I guess.

It took me several tries to get a hold of it just right but finally got it
