The Tooch Posted May 15, 2016 #1 Posted May 15, 2016 Flyingfool are you OK? Did you fall and hit your head on the ON switch??!! What a crazy spring it's been here and the forecast is.......winter today.....spring Monday & Tuesday........Summer for Wednesday right through the weekend.
The Tooch Posted May 15, 2016 Author #3 Posted May 15, 2016 Meanwhile, now for something completely different!
Freebird Posted May 15, 2016 #4 Posted May 15, 2016 No snow here this morning but there was water frozen in a bird bath.
etcswjoe Posted May 15, 2016 #5 Posted May 15, 2016 It is snowing because temperatures are low and there is moisture in the form of tiny ice crystals in the atmosphere. When these tiny ice crystals collide they stick together in clouds to become snowflakes. If enough ice crystals stick together, they'll become heavy enough to fall to the ground.
The Tooch Posted May 15, 2016 Author #6 Posted May 15, 2016 Thanks Joe! I feel much better now.........
uncledj Posted May 15, 2016 #9 Posted May 15, 2016 Here in Central Ohio, I was working yesterday and got about a 15 minute spell of a snow / sleet mix. WTF? We had some pretty warm days in the last month or two, and then this. Oh well....the good stuff's gotta be comin' soon.
ReinyRooster Posted May 15, 2016 #10 Posted May 15, 2016 Too cold to ride....wife has the Jeep so I can't go turkey hunting.......guess I'll spend the afternoon surfing.....
Freebird Posted May 15, 2016 #11 Posted May 15, 2016 Well Eileen and I are desperately trying to get the yard all ready for maintenance day but this weather is making it very difficult. I got a bit of weed eating done today and then tried to mow the part of the yard that's not too wet. Mowed for about 30 minutes and then it started snowing...then sleeting...then hail....then I gave up and called it a day.

Flyinfool Posted May 15, 2016 #13 Posted May 15, 2016 Well ya see its likea dis..................... I was out working in the shed trying to get my bike up and running. Then I ran into some issues, with the work on the bike. I started to get a bit frustrated and one thing led to another.............. It might have been when I started to throw things that I might just have also thrown that big white switch....................... But then ain't snow pretty . Sides, If I cant ride, it might just as well be snowing.................
djh3 Posted May 15, 2016 #14 Posted May 15, 2016 We could use some of that there cool weather. Been in 90s for a couple weeks now. Humidity in the 60,70 range
Yammer Dan Posted May 16, 2016 #15 Posted May 16, 2016 Hey Joe... SHUT UP!! Calling for 34 here tonight. Tomato, pepper and cukes may not care for that.
stickhandle2 Posted May 16, 2016 #17 Posted May 16, 2016 Went out for a ride yesterday, thermometer said it is chilly outside, put the warm layers on, and all the riding gear, went for the ride only a couple to 3 hours, but the thermometer lied......it was cold, throw in some rain, bit of sleet, bit more rain. I was trying to get to learn our new area where we are moving to in a month....you know all the spots to stop for some food after a ride. All in all it was cold, but I was riding so it was still fun. Did I mention that it was the middle of May and it was cold.
Wizard765 Posted May 16, 2016 #18 Posted May 16, 2016 Hey Mike: Where you moving to? Upsizing or Downsizing?

If enough ice crystals stick together, they'll become heavy enough to fall to the ground.Did @Flyinfool pay you to say that to try to divert the attention from him and his snow making machine. Cause if so so your wasting your time because we all already know the truth. As @The Tooch say's he may have fallen against the switch but I am more inclined to believe because his machine did not perform as in tthe two previous years he is experimenting and trying to tune it up for next year.
The Tooch Posted May 16, 2016 Author #20 Posted May 16, 2016 Hey Mike: Where you moving to? Upsizing or Downsizing? Inquiring minds want to know!!!!????
stickhandle2 Posted May 16, 2016 #21 Posted May 16, 2016 Inquiring minds want to know!!!!???? Wayne and Dave, Moving deeper into the Niagara penninsula, found a nice spot in Welland, kind of going against the norm......bigger property, detached house more square feet above grade, but over all less room for our stuff that is in the house. But we will now have a 1 1/2 car garage, big shed, plus a huge driveway for parking cars, trailers, more bikes etc. Both Tammie and myself are real excited about the move, farther from work ,but oh well thats the way it goes to find some sanity and peace and quiet. Mike
