FROG MAN Posted April 13, 2008 #1 Posted April 13, 2008 It could have been a close call yesterday. We just pulled in from our atv ride at the camp. Shut the atv's off and heard sirens coming. We looked coming off the hill on RT 4 was a deputy sheriff chasing a brown caddy. The caddy turned onto our 1 lane country road and flew up by the camp with the deputy right on his tail. The caddy tried to climb the winding hill road behind our camp but may have spun out or got bumped out of the road. A few minutes later two state trooper cars flew by the camp and we heard them turn off the sirens about half way up the mountain. Ramona and I just came down that road a few minutes earlier. I waved at the deputy with his prize setting in the back seat. I gave the rollback driver a wave when he brought that caddy off the ridge down by the camp. The troopers managed to stop a dui on the way back to. So here is the thoughts for a new sign at the camp while were there. All LEO's free coffee or ice tea just for showing up on my end of the county.:cool10:
Nighthawk II Posted April 13, 2008 #2 Posted April 13, 2008 Sounds like a very close one for you guys. Glad that you 2 were out of the way when they came through. Your guardian angel was on the job.
buddy Posted April 13, 2008 #3 Posted April 13, 2008 To bad the brown car was not burnt orange instead you would've had Dukes of hazard in your back yard. YEEEEEEEEEE HALLLLLLLLLLLLL Yep I say your Gaurding Angel is doing an excellent job.....Glad you guys made it down before they came up that would have been a wild ride..... Buddy
BEER30 Posted April 13, 2008 #4 Posted April 13, 2008 Hey Froggie ! More and more each day , something exciting happens around your area . Shop constantly getting broken into , druggies , to now Hi-Speed chase in your back 40 . Question is , when I come to visit , will I need to pack some HEAT ? So to answer your question as for Free Coffee or Ice Cold Tea . How about both and adding also Danishes . I would have said "DONUTS" , but we know how sensitive our LEO friends are ....:rotf::rotf: BEER30
dray Posted April 13, 2008 #5 Posted April 13, 2008 dang the guy in the caddy must have had a whole load of ROSE BUSHES DRAY:15_8_211[1]:
Yammer Dan Posted April 13, 2008 #6 Posted April 13, 2008 More customers for me?? When I left yesterday we had 3 empty beds in the entire itstitition. Gonna have to build something or turn some loose early. A couple years of me they might think about coming back!!
FROG MAN Posted April 13, 2008 Author #7 Posted April 13, 2008 Beer 30 bring your heat. Makes for turning danishes into donuts easier. Yammer you got three vacancies? Still plenty of cleanup work on this end needed. I got front row seat now.
Yammer Dan Posted April 13, 2008 #8 Posted April 13, 2008 Skid catches them and I keep them!! Gonna have to slow Skid down I'm running out of space!!!
Skid Posted April 13, 2008 #9 Posted April 13, 2008 I think the guy was a burglizing a camp down the road from you, and the deputy interupted his plans. Then the chase was on.......
FROG MAN Posted April 13, 2008 Author #10 Posted April 13, 2008 3 felony charges and 11 misdemeanors. Why is it everything cost us money. Mamamo loaned a certain In-Law money to go back to work on this evening. The kid has been out of work for about 6 weeks. So he gave the money to his foreman to hold for his share of the expenses until payday. Now we find out a certain foreman was crusing around in a borrowed brown cadillac and now MamaMo is pissed. Looks like no ride back to work for a while.:rotf::rotf: It could have been worse at least it was her money this week.
cecdoo Posted April 13, 2008 #11 Posted April 13, 2008 Very wise friend of mine use to say "No good deed goes un-punished" aint it the truth:whistling: My wife is in HR and one of the guys needed a loan really bad till payday, she does payroll also, so she was sure he would be good for it?? She loaned him $300, never saw him again, turns out he is in jail you can guess where 300 went? Momma aint happy. Craig
FROG MAN Posted April 13, 2008 Author #12 Posted April 13, 2008 Time for new rules at my house. I don't borrow nothing and I don't loan nothing!! Seems like everybody has a hard luck story. I had a millionaire friend tell me everybody wants to borrow money off of him during this recession. He said they all could have been millionaires if they managed what they made when times were good. Something else I won't do is bail a friend or family out of jail.
Just-Jack Posted April 13, 2008 #13 Posted April 13, 2008 I will have to second not bailing anybody family or friend out of jail it just not worth the headache.....let them sit there and think about what they have done and hope they learned thier lesson and wont be back to that position Jessie
MamaMo Posted April 14, 2008 #14 Posted April 14, 2008 Yes I am Pissed. Also thankful too. Frogman and Venturepirate was in front of me for the whole ride. Angels were watching that is for sure. A few minutes later coming off the ridge and It could have been bad. Definity would have borrowed the taser from the deputy. It has nice laser light sights. I know because he showed it to us at the store. The driver had better hope I don't see him when he gets out. :bobby:Free coffee and Ice tea for ALL LEO's dessert too and food if cooked. Told them they needed to work this end of the county more. Know ALL of them from work. Since they get free Coffee there. Now just need Cell phone booster, scanner and hopefully internet at the camp.
Guest k4sfc@bellsouth.net Posted April 15, 2008 #15 Posted April 15, 2008 The day was sunny and the air was warm. The wife and I were out having a ride and life was good. Then it happened! A drunk driving a cage emerged from behind a big bush that hid the car (on my left) and got in front of us. I got on the brakes and went into the left lane (2 lane road) so as not to hit him in the back end. Just as I got abreast of him he moved left in front of me and pushed us into a row of rural mailboxes mounted on 8"X8" wooden poles. I had crash bars front and rear and they helped, but the wife ended up with a lifetime knee injury. The drunk had no job, no license, and had taken the car which had no tags without permission from his mother-in-law's house. The highway patrol arrested him and charged him with DWI and causing a bodily injury accident. My wonderful home State of North Carolina allowed him a plead deal. He pled guilty to DWI only, paid a $100 fine and went home. His license was already revoked for DWI's when he hit us. Meanwhile, my wife has a bad knee for life and our insurance company paid the hospital bills under the uninsured motorists protection I had been smart enough to purchase. When I protested to the Trooper that arrested the drunk, he said; "if you ride a motorcycle don't expect any justice in this State". And I'll deny it if you tell anybody what I said. S--- Happens!
