I have been using the Rotella T6 synthetic for the last three seasons with no problems. I actually think the clutch has a better lockup with the T6 when hammering the throttle. (IMHO)

I wouldn't hesitate to go 5,000 with the Mobil 1. Probably any other oil for that matter. I am moving all my vehicles to 5,000.

 

Bike goes 4-5k miles on an oil change on full-synth Rotell, all depending on how much I ride that year.

My work car goes 6-7k on semi-synth but it is ALL highway light load driving

Wifes & Mom's car do a lot of short trips or sit for 4-5 days at a time, they get 3-4k mile oil changes

My vehicles all get their oil changed at 15,000 actually with Mobil Synthetic and the Mobil 1 filter rated for that mileage. The bike gets changed once a year regardless of the mileage... typically up to 12 thousand. It also gets an extended mileage filter. Motors all run just fine. Last long...

 

My son inherited my RSTD with 50k on the clock and is working on doubling that. I like Mobil Synthetic oil...
