New to the group. Thanks for the add. I just sold my Custom built Road star Bagger and decided to by a venture to customize. I haven't really seen one yet. Purchased this 01 3 weeks ago and it has come a long way in the last 2 weeks. Adding 18 inch 48 mammoth wheel, matching rotors, chrome R1 calipers, steel braided lines, Harley FL front fender, the diamond cut guy head covers, chrome Allen head engine bolt kit, 10 inch Bagger bars, chrome hand controls, new grips, 10 inch tinted shield, and a whole lot of paint/hydrographic work.

Yes. The hydrodip pattern is called Renegade. Dipped over candy brandywine. 1/8 inch charcoal grey pinstripe and black to finish it off.

Beautiful...

I would be so interested in as many pics as your willing to share of your bagger bars. Especially a side view showing the angles compared to the fairing. I have been researching for weeks about doing the same thing.

The wheel is from Relentless cycle in fl. 18 inch Harley wheel with 1 inch bearings. Bolts right up using Brian Veney designs spacers. Then move your calipers in with 1/4 inch spacers. Its very easy. I installed a 21 inch wheel on my Road star when I built it. The bars are Krome Werks 10 inch bagger bars off ebay, 1 inch dia. Only $86 and I love them. the stock bars are to low and these put my arms straight out. Perfect fit. Just bolted right up.

I'm trying to post more pictures but is not letting me. I'll figure it out.

Hey Drag,,,, your pic upload problem has probably got something to do with picture size,,, its not uncommon to need to resize to a smaller pic (I have found 1000x750 works good).. :2cents:

Dont give up,, you sure got a line of folks waiting to see more!!! :178:

Max picture size is 1024 x 768 and no more than 200,000 bytes.

As for the bars, do they have more pull back also? I assume you had to change the throttle, clutch and brake lines?

I still have more to do. Painted and dipped the side covers, air intakes today. Also removed the chrome/rust rad cover and painted black and cleared it. Gotta install the new rear tire this weekend before my vacation.

So you didn't have to replace any of the OEM cables with these bars? I really love the look and have been wanting to do this, I just didn't want to get involved with swapping out all the lines/cables. Beautiful bike!!

I still wonder about the cables also. I understand that you didn't change them but it causes me to wonder what you gained in height and especially in pull back.

Posted

What I figure is you loose 4" in pull back and gain 4" in height over stock, so would that be a break even as far as using the stock cables and hoses? That is a great look!

I was also starting to look into the bagger bars for victory's because the width is narrower down at the clamp but still have the same bend to clear the fairing. Maybe a victory owner could chime in.

Bike looks amazing! I have a couple questions,do you know the brand of the tank bib ,that looks like what I want? Also like the looks of the windshield,do you know the brand ? Thx in advance!

If those bars lose 4" of pullback, they are not for me. I liked the Flanders because they gave you MORE pullback. I like leaning back against the backrest and need the extra pullback.

As for the bib, I'm almost certain that is one of the older/discontinued Hopnel bibs. They still make them for the RSV but not that same style.
