I just purchased a 03. My radio and speakers work great but the tape deck is ancient. I am using this to plus plug into the accessory jack. Now it connects my phone via Bluetooth to the speakers. Works great for music and gps! Got it from Amazon

TROND® 2 in 1 Wireless Bluetooth 4.1 Audio Transmitter and Receiver - Bluetooth Transmitter for TV, iPod, MP3, CD Player or e-Reader; Bluetooth Receiver for Car or Home Stereo

That looks good but I have a couple of questions. You say that it works great with your music and GPS. You must be using the phone or whatever for both GPS and Music because it says that though it can connect to two different devices, it can only receive audio from one at a time. So If I connect my Zumo to it for GPS and my phone for Pandora, it appears that I have to choose which one I want to hear. Is that correct?

Also, it says battery or A/C. Have you found, or looked for, a dc adapter so that you don't need batteries? I would like to mount something like that inside the fairing but that would only work if you didn't need access to change the batteries.

UPDATE: I got radio to work great!!

Under the clarion radio box is these

Big cable connections, the one with the

Yellow color tape on it when unplugged

The radio started working awesome!

Could not find what that cable goes to though,

Anyone know??

The radio mutes a little when the CB receives a signal so you can hear the CB. Do you have the squelch for the CB set to low so it thinks it's getting a signal all the time? Try setting the squelch around 12 to 15...then plug yellow CB connector back in and see if radio works properly.

I'm now going to contradict myself cause the cb has a separate volume control so it can override the radio if you turn the CB volume up loud enough. That's one of the confusing things about a 2nd Gen remote...it can do multiple things depending upon what button you push first.

Look and see if the mic button is pushed in on left handlebar behind the clutch lever.
