cecdoo Posted June 16, 2016 #53 Posted June 16, 2016 Still following you guys on the blog, it looks/sounds like it has been an amazing trip. Hope to do it one day myself, would love to see the final map of the roads you traveled. I am a bit surprised at the cold temps, would not have expected that this time of year, but then again I am from the hot & humid philly area. Enjoy the ride, Craig

cowpuc Posted June 26, 2016 #57 Posted June 26, 2016 What a bunch of Pics!!! Not sure I could take a trip like that now. I get thru this mess and feeling better DanL, you will have to drag Sugar out of the stall by the mirrors, flop your tent on her and head this way.. I will drag Tweeks sister out by the horns, toss on a tent and we can head for the Sturgis Rally.. Get us a couple sleeveless white tee shirts and write 2 WOB's MC on them (WOB's = worn out bikers) ... Prairie camping and riding the Pie Butt 26.2 would be a good way to answer the question you are wondering about!!! ,,, drag Skidder along so our 1st Gens have a 2nd Gen to pick on Speaking of WOB's,,,, wonder what happen to @The Tooch ,,,,, surprised he aint on here telling us all about how it's done!!
videoarizona Posted June 26, 2016 #58 Posted June 26, 2016 Well...just finished reading the blog to the end. What a great ride! Been across country on a scoot when I was younger.....but not sure I could take 30 days on the road or the expense of it all now! Regardless, great read! And thank you Dave, for taking the time to share your adventures and pictures. I traveled with you...using Google Earth...and enjoyed every mile!
dogman Posted June 27, 2016 #59 Posted June 27, 2016 Welcome home Dave. The blog was a great way to feel just a portion of all your excitement and tough days riding in some very scary weather. I look forward to hearing some of your stories in person to hear the excitement in your voice as you recount your adventures. I'm proud of you, not many get to do what you have just done. You still have the whole summer ahead of you as well. So what is next on your list of retirement bliss?
Guest Jamsie Posted June 28, 2016 #60 Posted June 28, 2016 I have followed your epic trip on the Blog , some great scenery and magnificent roads , makes me green with envy. wish i had the time and spare change to do something similar . I notice the Purple Helmets banner on the top of the blog , any relation to these Purple helmets from IOM Just wondering who that could be on the piano , anyone recognize him ?

Hello Everyone OK go away for 30 days and guess what's waiting for you?! A 30 day Honey-Do list, don't you know?! And the the kids with the new grand baby are making their 1st visit to the house, with the new grand daughter, for the weekend, don't you know?! And that means all the local relatives that haven't seen the new baby are coming to visit. Don't you know?! I got to sleep in my own bed for one night, then the kids & the grand baby got our room, for the weekend, more comfortable for them, don't you know?! I got to sleep on the trundle bed in the attic, don't you know?! Well actually I didn't know any of this till I got home but it was great to see the kids and our new grand daughter Ivy, who was born a couple of weeks before I'd left on the trip. I'd only seen her three times before I left, she had grown so much so fast. It was so great to come home to family and even if I didn't have a chance to catch my breath from the trip till today, "there's no place like home!" Heard that while I was ridding on my trip through Kansas in a tornado. Don't you know!
