Rebuilt a rear master cylinder for my 83 Venture. Made sure to clean the small hole inside the plastic elbow. Upon reinstallation cannot get fluid to fill it. Filled reservoir no fill. Pulled line to front brake. Still cannot get fluid into master cylinder. Tried pumping but still no fill. Shouldn't gravity be enough to fill up master cylinder?IMG_1829.jpg

You might try replacing the hose from the reserve to the plastic elbow. You may be getting junk flaking of inside of the old one and blocking the opening to the master??? Otherwise like yamagrl sez. Reverse bleed...

Havent tried that yet. Have tried operating brake foot brake with reservoir fulll and didn't have any success in filling master cylinder. Would of thought gravity pressure from reservoir would have been enough. Guess reverse bleeding is next next step.

Another thought comes to mind. Are your brakes still linked?? If they are, have you tried bleeding the left front first and then the rear??
