cowpuc Posted May 14, 2016 Share #176 Posted May 14, 2016 HEY....it's NOT farkle....it's SAFETY CHROME. You of all people should KNOW that. OK...so here is where I'm at so far. I'm sitting here in a hotel room so this is from memory. I am likely forgetting something but this is a fairly complete list. Now most of this stuff was on the bike when I bought it so I got very lucky there. We all know that you never get your money back out of accessories when you sell a bike but it's nice when you buy a used bike that already has most of them installed. 2005 Yamaha Royal Star Midnight Venture Russell Day Long heated seat Utopia backrest covered by Russell to match Corbin passenger backrest covered by Russell to match Yamaha ball milled air filter covers Yamaha ball milled carb covers Yamaha ball milled twinky covers Yamaha luggage rack Yamaha passing lights Yamaha chrome front gas tank bolt covers Yamaha chrome passenger floorboard backing plates Yamaha front fender guard Yamaha saddle bag guards Yamaha saddle bag liners Yamaha Headlamp and turn signal visors Yamaha tail light visor The Diamond Cut Guy triple cut cooling fins. Freebird Posted May 14, 2016 Author Share #177 Posted May 14, 2016 LOL...the sad part is...Dan has the '99 that I sold to him. I DID all that stuff to his. So here I am trying to catch up with what I had already done. The ONLY thing he has added is the bandaids.
Yammer Dan Posted May 14, 2016 Share #178 Posted May 14, 2016 Hey!! The Band-Aids look pretty cool.... Now if I cover it with stickers like Puc did....... It will certainly be unusual..... I found some chrome paint on sale the other day........

Freebird Posted May 16, 2016 Author Share #192 Posted May 16, 2016 Never did it on the '99. Never had that problem. So I probably won't unless I see some signs of a problem.
Freebird Posted May 16, 2016 Author Share #193 Posted May 16, 2016 Well @Yammer Dan , I appreciate you posting your list. It allowed me to compare where I'm at. The following are the only things that I don't have yet. Not sure I'll do them all but here it is: Baron's brake reservoir mounted tach (must have sooner or later) SpeedoHealer (will do at some point) Galfer SS Clutch line (someday. 2" over) Flanders Bars (someday) Barnett SS Throttle cables (someday 2" over) VMAX Rear End (not sure yet, maybe someday) Sonic Front Springs (when I need them. That is a lot of work)

Yammer Dan Posted May 17, 2016 Share #195 Posted May 17, 2016 And the set of Bubs!! I cain't hide in the pack now.......
Freebird Posted May 17, 2016 Author Share #196 Posted May 17, 2016 No Bubs for me thank you. I got a set of Bubs with the bike. Traded them for a set of OEM RSTD mufflers like were on the '99 when you go it. Has the Harley mufflers on it now and they are LOUD. I'll enjoy them for a while and then put the RSTDs on it. Yammer Dan Posted May 17, 2016 Share #197 Posted May 17, 2016 I still got the RSTDs

bongobobny Posted May 19, 2016 Share #199 Posted May 19, 2016 Yup!! Got 'em on my bike too!! Ain't they pretty!??!
Freebird Posted May 19, 2016 Author Share #200 Posted May 19, 2016 Yea, he really does a good job on these. I'm going to back spray those under the fairing soon. Just waiting on a couple of things before I split the fairing so I only have to do it once. When I have it apart, I'll remove those clear deflectors and paint them black on the backside. By the way, the OEM clean lower deflectors wouldn't have been around too much longer. The brackets were cracked about halfway on both of them.
