Marcarl Posted May 12, 2016 Share #154 Posted May 12, 2016 So now I'm wondering,,, just wondering mind you,,, not really asking I suppose, but just putting down words to my wondering. Is it the idea when you buy a scoot to ride it, or to farkle it? Just wondering mind you. I want to get it right and not screw up with what I'm doing. Freebird Posted May 12, 2016 Author Share #155 Posted May 12, 2016 Well, I hope to ride it if I can negotiate with Eileen between riding the bike and hitting the water with the Waverunners. I don't know, it's really a lot of fun to customize these bikes. Maybe I should get finished with it, sell it and start over? I don't think so. and besides...I've already said....it's NOT FARKLE....it's SAFETY CHROME!

Flyinfool Posted May 12, 2016 Share #157 Posted May 12, 2016 So then what would it take to be able to pull the wave runners behind the bike. Ya they are a bit heavy, but I have seen some pretty heavy trailers behind bikes.............. Add some trailer brakes so you can stop without getting run over, the power is already there................ Just some more food for thought.................... Now can ride both the bike and runners.......................
Freebird Posted May 12, 2016 Author Share #158 Posted May 12, 2016 Well, the Waverunners are just over 800 lbs. each and on a double trailer. I figure total weight is around 1800 lbs. Don't think I will be trying that. Even if I got them to the lake, then I have to back them down the boat ramp? I don't think so my friend. Hell, I struggle to launch my ski's with my mother's FWD Ford Escape (my AWD Escape does fine), I'd hate to even try with 1-Wheel-Drive. Thank god mom's got a cottage and I bought a floating pier that I can park the skis on, launch once & retrieve once per year and commute back and forth on the bike regularly. I just about always saw this van, or was it a pickup, with a trailer hitch mounted on the FRONT bumper. Thought it, and the owner was just plain stupid!!! That is, until I saw it in action one day retrieving his boat and trailer from the launch site!! He had NO problem seeing where he was going to hook up the trailer, and absolutely NO problem with traction pulling it out!! Everybody else, me included, had problems getting traction on the wet concrete...
