Marcarl Posted May 12, 2016 #154 Posted May 12, 2016 So now I'm wondering,,, just wondering mind you,,, not really asking I suppose, but just putting down words to my wondering. Is it the idea when you buy a scoot to ride it, or to farkle it? Just wondering mind you. I want to get it right and not screw up with what I'm doing.
Freebird Posted May 12, 2016 Author #155 Posted May 12, 2016 Well, I hope to ride it if I can negotiate with Eileen between riding the bike and hitting the water with the Waverunners. I don't know, it's really a lot of fun to customize these bikes. Maybe I should get finished with it, sell it and start over? I don't think so. and besides...I've already said....it's NOT FARKLE....it's SAFETY CHROME!

Flyinfool Posted May 12, 2016 #157 Posted May 12, 2016 So then what would it take to be able to pull the wave runners behind the bike. Ya they are a bit heavy, but I have seen some pretty heavy trailers behind bikes.............. Add some trailer brakes so you can stop without getting run over, the power is already there................ Just some more food for thought.................... Now can ride both the bike and runners.......................
Freebird Posted May 12, 2016 Author #158 Posted May 12, 2016 Well, the Waverunners are just over 800 lbs. each and on a double trailer. I figure total weight is around 1800 lbs. Don't think I will be trying that. Even if I got them to the lake, then I have to back them down the boat ramp? I don't think so my friend.

Hell, I struggle to launch my ski's with my mother's FWD Ford Escape (my AWD Escape does fine), I'd hate to even try with 1-Wheel-Drive. Thank god mom's got a cottage and I bought a floating pier that I can park the skis on, launch once & retrieve once per year and commute back and forth on the bike regularly.

eusa1 Posted May 12, 2016 #161 Posted May 12, 2016 Boss, Thats an impressive list of Safety Farkle Chrome! But, you're missing something very important: Rivco Center Stand. BigLenny I just so happen to know where a rare original chrome trip master adjustable height center stand is located for sale:whistling:
Freebird Posted May 12, 2016 Author #162 Posted May 12, 2016 Well, I sure know how to build a center stand. I think I built about 150 of them or so. Hadn't even thought about that but may get around to it.

Oh yeah. I forgot you built them. I just know I wouldn't want to do without the center stand I have on my RSTD.

Thank god mom's got a cottage and I bought a floating pier that I can park the skis on, launch once & retrieve once per year and commute back and forth on the bike regularly. This reminds me of waaaaay back in the day at the Buffalo Small Boat Harbor. I just about always saw this van, or was it a pickup, with a trailer hitch mounted on the FRONT bumper. Thought it, and the owner was just plain stupid!!! That is, until I saw it in action one day retrieving his boat and trailer from the launch site!! He had NO problem seeing where he was going to hook up the trailer, and absolutely NO problem with traction pulling it out!! Everybody else, me included, had problems getting traction on the wet concrete...

bongobobny Posted May 13, 2016 #172 Posted May 13, 2016 Unfortunately, the Wagner grille is now rarer than hen's teeth...
Freebird Posted May 13, 2016 Author #173 Posted May 13, 2016 OOPS....forgot about that. It already has the Wagner grill. Will add it to the list.
Freebird Posted May 14, 2016 Author #174 Posted May 14, 2016 Well I got Carbon_Ones crash bar supports installed this morning and the visor on the Harley tail light. That may be about it for today. Much yard work to be done but it rained all night so mowing is out. Going to try to get some weed eating done though.
bongobobny Posted May 14, 2016 #175 Posted May 14, 2016 What kind of weeds are you going to eat?? Are they yummy like cattail roots??
