I am changing my E3 (23000mls) on this set, for new E3 this week. My ?? is what else should I do. Change brake fluid, brake pads, check rear end diff. Since I am not doing the work my self is there anything else I should get done.

Definitely grease the splines....

Not the part of removing the tires but when was the last time you changed your clutch/brake fluids? Coolant? Good time to check bolts etc too.

Also get some Ride-On and add it to your tires after they are mounted and balanced. Good for extra balance and closing tire punctures.

Wouldn't hurt to also have the battery checked to make sure it is in good shape.

Honda Moly 60 (if I recall correctly) is a good grease for the splines.

 

While apart, not a bad idea to pull the dampening pins, buff them up, apply some moly60 and reassemble.

Do you need to pull the drive shaft and grease the front splines too?
Yes! That's the most important one, it is usually neglected...

 

There is a trick to getting the drive shaft back in the U-Joint, there is an inspection hole with a rubber plug you pop off and use a screwdriver, etc to guide the shaft back in.
