I really think it's missing a wheel somehow,,,, can't seem to grasp it right now, it's late at night. Hope you can learn to ride it the way it is,,looks like it might be a bit of fun,, just a bit!!!

I think I know what you mean Carl.....every time I stand back and look at yours....it seems to me.....it's missing a TRACK!:stickpoke:

Nice Ammo cans hanging off each side, the mortar rounds should fit in there nicely :thumbsup2: Looks like a lotta fun there.

No wonder you can't get over the boarder!! :yikes:

Mortar rounds?! Is that what you've got in that trailer your towing around?! :shock3: :ignore:

You made two guesses, you were just trying to cover all the bases.....that's not being right! No prize for you!:no-no-no:

:confused07: Now  how would that differ from buying more than one ticket for the lottery :confused24: .

You gotta admit:backinmyday:, I know you,:detective: I had you pegged pretty good :stickpoke:.

  • 3 weeks later...
Didn't even ride it and had to make a warranty claim.....put the key in the top box and unlocked it, put all the paperwork in the box from the sale, along with the owners manual. Then locked the box......the key will not come out. Two sales guys are standing there watching me, so they try it. The key will not come out. They roll it into the shop and the service guys work at it. The key will not come out.

So I have a new bike with one key, while they contact Yamaha to try and figure out how to get the key out of the cylinder. They kept the top box/trunk and will call me on Monday.

The taller, wider touring shield I ordered, didn't come in yet......sometime next week.

Man what an awesome ride, fast and light! 1200cc and almost 300lbs less then the Venture. :biker:

What was the resolution on the key ?

Hi Don

I've got the box back and on my bike, they manage to get the key out and fix the cylinder but the trim around the cylinder has a couple of gouges in it for them working on it. The cylinder is on back order with Yamaha so I'm waiting for a new one but I do have a box that works and two keys for my bike now.

The windshield is another story, they ordered it for me and I agreed that it could be delivered to my place as I would switch between the regular and touring shield anyways. Well I got the windshield but it was the wrong one, it's for a 2010-2013 Super Tenere. They changed the mounting system for the windshield in 2014 on, to make it easer to adjust the height of the shield. So I called them and of course the guy had to argue with me about it, until he finally agreed it was indeed the wrong one. He said he would have to call me back as he would have to try and track one down. Apparently there are not a lot of them available and he would try to see if another dealer had one.

I asked him what he wanted me to do with the windshield I now had. He told me to keep it, said it wasn't worth the return shipping cost. So I now have a tall touring 2010-2013 Super Tenere windshield for sale at a good price.

The latest is my Windsheild has been shipped from a dealer in Erie Pennsylvania but they can't tell me when it will get here cause it was shipped on the cheap with no tracking info. available.

I got an e-mail from Yamaha that was an on-line survey for customer satisfaction and dealer performance........:puzzled:

I had a good time filling that in.....

I put crash bars on it yesterday and worked today at mounting driving spotlights on the crash bars. Got them mounted but still have to wire them up. But they look good! Me like!

Oh man, I just thought.....I'm going to be in trouble with the:photographing::cop: Sorry Puc I'll try to take pictures of the crash bars & lights tomorrow.
