mbova Posted April 9, 2016 #1 Posted April 9, 2016 I'm starting to work on my 89, and the first thing I decided I would do is change out the fuse box. There is a lot of information on this site to help. I'll post some pictures.
Patmac6075 Posted April 9, 2016 #2 Posted April 9, 2016 Hey mbova, changing out your fuse box is pretty simple, I did a write up, it's in the 1st Gen tech section under Computer/other electrical. It'll take about an hour. Also a member here sells a kit, check out Skydoc....it's a complete kit and Earl is a great guy...very helpful. ps - I would have posted a link, but I don't know how with this dang iPad!

mbova Posted April 10, 2016 Author #4 Posted April 10, 2016 Thanks, I saw that post. It helped me figure out the fuse size. I'm going to finish it today. Since it's not 20 deg outside today. What happened to spring?
mbova Posted April 11, 2016 Author #5 Posted April 11, 2016 So I finished the swap and now the radio has power. Air ride contor still doesn't come on. Pictures to come.
Flyinfool Posted April 11, 2016 #6 Posted April 11, 2016 Class does not go thru the main fuse block, it has a separate fuse.
bongobobny Posted April 11, 2016 #7 Posted April 11, 2016 ...Also, CLASS ONLY comes on with ignition on accessory setting. Built in safety feature so you can only adjust air suspension with bike not running, no "on the fly" adjusting!
mbova Posted April 11, 2016 Author #8 Posted April 11, 2016 Thanks I read that. It doesn't come on there either.
audio_mekanik Posted April 12, 2016 #9 Posted April 12, 2016 I just soldered up my CLASS broken solder joints, was pretty easy. I posted some pics here: http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?118001-Got-a-new-(new-to-me)-86-Royale&p=962475#post962475

audio_mekanik Posted April 12, 2016 #11 Posted April 12, 2016 I will find out tonight when I get it hooked up. It did have the E4 error, but if I pressed in on the back connector it would work.

It did have the E4 error, but if I pressed in on the back connector it would work. Got it installed last night and it reads out pressures correctly now, without E4 error. Not sure how loud the compressor is on these bikes but I never heard that kick on. Could be a separate issue too. Edited April 13, 2016 by audio_mekanik
